What is this new assessment, and $4,755 annual tax? Does anyone really ever own a home? A car? Isn't this all a mirage? A scam? I feel cheated. And the rate goes up every 2 years!

Over the months I have compiled loads of stuff we've done together like concert tickets, photos, cinema tickets etc etc and I want to do something with them as a memory for him, but what? I thought maybe in a scrap book but there's probably not enough to fill it, so a photo frame but Im not overly keen on the idea, just a piece of card with them stuck on it? Im not sure, what do you think? xx

Hi. I really need some advice here. I have two children, a daughter of 13 and a son of 11 who has autism (he has just started attending his autism school on a residential basis, 4 nights a week home at weekends). Already he is very happy and settled there and we are so very relieved. They are an excellent school. As you can imagine I have put in a lot of time with my son over the years, fighting for the right education for him etc. Now I am left with me for the first time in a long long time! Its been very isolating having a special needs child, but I have started to build my confidence up and are applying for some jobs. I used to be a PA/Secretary before the children and had a very good career.

My husband thankfully has a good job, but I really do need to earn some money again and have some fulfillment in my life! I just do not know whether to go for it and go full time, or just part time!! I need to pay off quite a bit of debt too. Any advice would be really welcome!

My live-in boyfriend has 3 girls that he has joint custody of. (Ages 14, 13 and 10). The problem is he think he has to buy their love. Their mom is always talking bad about him and us to the girls. He has always paid his child support on time and puts out large amounts of money to them above that , he goes above and beyound what is expected as an ex-husband. He gives into their every whim because he doesn't want them to "hate" him. I tried to show him that they do love him that they are taking advantage of him. He agrees that they are. But I think he thinks that the more he buys for them and the more he caters to them that things will get better, he doesn't see that what he is doing is only going to make things much worse. Any advice on what I can do to help him or makes things easier for him. It is tearing him apart and I know that eventually it will tear us apart also. Thanks for all your advice.

My biological mother married an abusive man when I was 3 years old. A year later I was in foster care. She chose her husband over her 4-year-old first-born daughter.
I have never maintained a relationship with this woman. She was told by her parents, my grandparents, when I had my children and never made contact. But never contacted us in anyway.
Two years have past since the birth of my Twin boys where born and we have never received a card or phone call from her.
Today I received a phone call from my grandparents, asking if my biological mother & my two half brothers could come up to my house and stay for a couple of days. Met my family. Apparently she is going through a tough time at the moment with a divorce, blah blah blah.
I do NOT want her any where near my family & I –FULL STOP!!
I feel she couldn’t raise me so why should she think about seeing my babies??
Am I justified in denying her right to see my children??
SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

i have purchased about a year ago an authentic, real xp home edition cd- its all shiny and hologram. Anyway i spent like $220 aus dollars on it and apparently i can install it on as many computers as i want all at once- as in they can all run and update at the same time. I heard this when i called up Microsoft today- but i just want to make sure. Can i install it on as many computers i want legally and have them update? (cuz the guy could barley speak english)

Im on a £22k full-time job but have just completed a private one-off job for which a cheque of £5k was raised. I received the cheque directly without going through payroll but want to know how I go about getting the TAX paid on this £5k? Can Inland Revenue do this for me?

My daughter is a single mother of 3. Every weekend she wants to go out and party or go out with her friends. Always its a over niter. I am not too good with my health and all and its very hard on me. I also was a single parent of 4 and I never went anywhere. I love my grandchildren but I believe she should not go out so much. Thank you
