Over the months I have compiled loads of stuff we've done together like concert tickets, photos, cinema tickets etc etc and I want to do something with them as a memory for him, but what? I thought maybe in a scrap book but there's probably not enough to fill it, so a photo frame but Im not overly keen on the idea, just a piece of card with them stuck on it? Im not sure, what do you think? xx

While most memory albums are 12" x 12" you can get smaller ones in 6" x 6" or 8" x 8" which are better for a small project. Get a pad of background papers in the right size as the papers for the bigger books don't always work in the smaller ones and there is not much choice in individual sheets. Most of the pads are coordiated and themed so you should find a suitable one.

If this is still to much ask for an accordion book which is basically a long strip which folds into a book. There are also accordion fold greeting cards These come in various sizes. You can also get tag books or make your own book from scratch or a kit. The Sara Books from Hot Off the Press can be made in numerous variations. 7 Gypsies also make kits and components. Bind it All is a newer entrant into this market.
Another possibility is to use you collection to decorate a chipboard boxfile, clipboard, clock, notice board, etc. There are quite a few items specially made to decorate but they are quite expensive. Try looking round a second hand shop for something shabby you could give a makeover.

How about a shadow box?
these are some sites with examples, and the first one has a video too...

So im thinking you could display the things you have creatively, and even add some pictures like its a collage of things. You can add borders to the pictures, and make things pop out more 3d-like by adding cardboard to the back of them or buying special puffy foam tape. I made a shadowbow for my friends when they left for college, and they all loved it. Hope this helps, good luck.

Try a photo album. I think you'll find you can remove any pages that you do not use so it won't look half-empty. Plus there's loads of designs available so you can choose the appropriate one.

Why not still do the scrapbook, the blank pages could be things you add later? Or you could make your own book, with however many pages you need to fill it up.
