intelligent, biblically valid answer, along with supporting quotes (if this not too much to ask!).
I would like to know if the bible actually does tell us to forgive even without the offender being asked to be forgiven. I posted the question (see below) and almost every1 says "yes, of course it does" but have no scripture to back it up.
I looked in bible and in fact Luke 17:3 seems to contridict the majority view on this, --also Judaism has different view on this also. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forgiveness ) --that is, unless person "repents" how can u forgive???
Anyway heres the question again, --thanks for the response!
Are Christians required (or desire to?) to forgive those who have wronged them even if the offender doesnt ask for forgiveness or even apologize, or perhaps doesn't recognize the offense?
