A football player attempts a 40-yd field goal. If he is able to impart a velocity U of 120 ft/sec to the ball, compute the minimum angle Theta for which the ball will clear the goal, which has a height of 10 feet. Let the mass of the ball be tan(theta). Yes, the mass of the ball depends on the angle.

Luckily the answer is independent of the mass.
It's 12.6327 deg. You can (roughly) check this number at the ref. web calculator, but their idea of g is 9.8 m/s^2 which translates to 32.152... ft/s^2. I used 32.174 ft/s^2.
