And yet Catholics dont hit back with the same agression.

I know many protestants have a limited understanding of the bible save for what they have been thought to believe by their pastor.

Yet Catholics just seem to sit confident in their faith and not go up in arms every time a evangelical or fundementalist questions them.

Some protestants seem to be willing to resort to violence in their apologetics.

Still, it seems strange to me that even if you dont believe that Catholics gave you the bible you

a) Have faith that catholics didnt alter all of it when it was in their care for 1200 years

b) Have faith that Martin Luther (a dubious and hate filled man) was so inspired to remove much of the bible and its teachings.

I have been told that it is not a good idea to crate your puppy for long periods during the day because of bladder control. What is the best method for housetraining a toy breed? I am currently using a pen with room for papers so he can "go" if he needs to but I am not sure if he will be able to learn how to go outside. Is there anyone else out there who is gone during the day and has had success training their pup?

When my gf and I first met we discussed (foolishly) our past sexual histories. I had been with 5 women total in 4 years while she had been with 27 in 2 years (not including oral only). At first this did not bother me but as we dated sometimes she would blurt stuff out that I really did not want to know, like, "I used to kiss all the guys in the club, I had sex in car parked at a busy gas station, I "messed around in a porta-potty" and now I'm having trouble getting these images out of my head. What really troubles me is that I found a letter she had written in which she said the thought of me with the other women made her want to puke but made no mention of her past except "she didn't like to talk about it but sometimes it slips out". Later in the letter she says she must learn to get over it. I think she has an easier time because mine were in the context of relationships and not drunken oneniters. I do know she had low self esteem before she met me but I don't know what to do.

Ok, for my birthday. I can either get a shotgun for smallgame and deer or a bow for deer. What do you think I should get? Can I use the shotgun for a late deer season in Pennsylvania?

I have several friends that are "one issue" voters. They are pro-life and refuse to vote for anyone that is not also pro-life.

So...they vote for these folks that claim to be pro-life and then they get into office and do not do a single thing about it (which, of course, makes me happy!). These candidates shout about being pro-life during the elections, gain the support of the religious right, and then do NOTHING about it once they get in office........(Except, of course giving tax breaks to their wealthy pals while abandoning the "salt of the earth" folks that they preyed on with their lies about taking pro-life actions.)

And they do this over and over and over again.....and the pro-life voters never wise up to the fact that they are being used.....

How come?

Me and my wife went on a vacation to Boston last year and I'm making a slideshow with the pictures. I need some good ideas about the music I should play while looking at pictures all along the Freedom Trail (including the historic cemetarys and landmarks). We also went to Fenway Park and took the tour there. The only idea I have so far is "Tessie" by The Dropkick Murphys. Any other good songs out there?

"They (the Jews) work more effectively against us, than the enemy's armies. They are a hundred times more dangerous to our liberties and the great cause we are engaged in . . . It is much to be lamented that each state, long ago, has not hunted them down as pest to society and the greatest enemies we have to the happiness of America."

(1) What do you think about this woman's ordeal? Do you think the police are taking accusations of rape too seriously if someone could be subjected to this?

(2) The article says this:

"The man suggested meeting at Ms Hutchison's home in Worthing, West Sussex, and turned up at 11am on a Thursday in June with two bottles of wine."

""I was taken aback because the wine made it very clear he was there for sex," she said."

Do you think it is fair to say that if someone is willing to drink alcohol they consent to sex?

Considering if a women is drunk and a man has sex with her, and she later claims it was rape, under British law the burden of proof is on him to show the steps he took to ensure consent, should she have been presumed a rapist until she has shown she was not in a court of law, considering alcohol was involved?
