What if the husband was dying?

2007-09-11 02:46:19 · 27 answers · asked by Svetlana 2 in Family & Relationships Marriage & Divorce

I'm not the older woman, I am in love with the guy in his 20's and he told me he was sleeping with a married woman who's husband is dying and that he's in love. I just want to know if after the husband died, do they have a chance and I should just move on.

Some might - some women are women first, mothers second.

Stress can make people do crazy things. It's no excuse, but the emotions from dealing with 2 little ones under 5 and a dying husband can make "escape" look mighty appealing. I'm not sure if the mean of that escape (the guy in his 20's) even matters.

the husband dying throws a whole different perspective on it:
1. if the husband wasn't dying, and she didn't love him anymore then leave him don't cheat on him, have some pride.
2. age doesn't matter if your over the age of concent and you love each other.
3. if the husband is dying, good lord, be there for him, think of the children.

why would you leave your dying husband!? how selfish. 20 year old dudes have nothing to offer an older woman...especially one with 2 kids....and if he's trying to get some chick who is already married to leave her husband he is obviously of very low moral character...if he is not then he should be willing to wait until the husband passes away...that would display a little bit of maturity and sensativity.

I am sure there are a few woman out in this great big world that would leave her husband and two young children for a guy in his 20's

I wouldn't. I couldn't.

First! My husband is the man who I promised I would BE THERE for when he NEEDS me. If he were dying, that would constitute during his need of me.

Second! (averagely) A man in his 20's would hardly have the know-how or even the income that I would consider even nessasary to fill the job, let alone comfort me from the loss of my husband and father of my children.

Third- I hope to God this isn't your situation you're considering. I hope this is purely hypothetical.

Not if she has a brain or a heart. Why not honor her vows and stick by her husband until he passes and then after she gets herself together she can pursue the relationship with the other guy.

Only if he dies. But it sounds selfish and too cherrish for such an event... Childern can easily get over it as they are small, though. But she must make sure the guy really loves her, her family and worths it

Yeah she probably could but if the husband was dying it'll be pretty cruel if she did!
