Hi
I'm a second year university student and have been having this strange problem for about a year now. It first started when I had my very first class in university. This is how it has happened ever since, pretty much. I'll be sitting in class, and I feel fine before it starts. I'll be sitting there talking to people, genrally feeling very comfortable. But as soon as the lecture starts, and I have to sit there and be quiet for a long period of time. I start to get these mini panic attacks or something. My stomach starts to feel nauseous, my hearts beats really rapidly, my palms sweat and I fear that I'm going to throw up in front of everybody. This usually happens in situations where I have to remain quiet and focus for a long period of time. It most often happens during class.. It's happened in other social situations too..This is making me depressed and I don't know what to do. I dont wanna go to my dr. and have him give me tons of meds or something. How can I make this better?
