Great people, questionable government. The position of denial the President of Iran took in regard to the Holocaust was a little disturbing.
In my dealings with individual Iranians,I've found them to be a kind, generous, and caring people. It's when the respective governments get involved that problems tend to occur.

It's been a threatening country for years, but ever since Ahmadinejad took office in 2005, he's been trying to bait the west into a war. Most Middle Eastern countries are frightened silly that Iran will get nukes.
I think it would be great if Lisa M. could trade countries.

They are in the process of becoming more free but still have along way to go. First they had a shah and were a monarchy. Then they had an islamic revolution and they were religious socialist. Now they have a president and are working toward being a democracy. Their journey is much like China and the soviet union.

I think they've been at war with the US since the late 1970's. And it's only continuing today in Iraq. BTW - what's up with their prez saying the holocaust never happened? Finally, just remember the Iranian prez wants to wipe Israel "off the face of the earth" but he only wants nuclear technology for "peaceful purposes" such as power generation. Nevermind that he is sitting on one of the largest oil deposits on earth!

I think Fox News and the constant rhetoric from the Bush Admin has turned them into the "enemy" of the far right republicans.
Iran had to respond with hardliners in office like Admajeniwhatsits who don't represent the truth of what Iran is really all about.

They're terrorist supporting, haters of freedom, haters of Iraq, and Israel, arrogant, mean, untrustworthy, and all too willing to act like the terrorists they support. Hezbollah. If world society allowed it, Iran would blow Israel to Kingdom come, and take any Jew still alive to use as target practice, in order to be better shots when they aim their next conquest at America.

Outside of their nuclear ambitions and intervention in Iraq I don't have any real problems with the country. However, most Americans (myself included) support limited air strikes on valuable targets (not civilian). Iranians in America are generally gracious, hard working contributors to our society.
Again, we are not interested in civilian casualties . . however, we will take out nuclear targets if provoked.
