"I think therefore I am" sound pretty logical, but are you comfortable with this? Sure I can only be certain of my own consciousness and sure of nothing else, but I don't feel whole with this statement. "To be is to be perceived" sounds more human. I can think and realize that I must exist since something has to do the thinking, but if no one acknowledges my existence, then I am but a mere ghost in a world in which I want to be influential and a force of change. Does anyone else feel this way?

I am pro life so far, but I am a free thinker, and I believe that If I am confronted with enough reason, I would gladly convert to pro choice.

So far, the most common abortion arguments I've heard are the following:

1. The mother has the right to do whatever she wants to her body

2. The child will not be loved

3. The child is not alive and it should not be considered a crime to abort it

my thoughts on these

1. If we're granted the right to do anything we want simply on the basis that it is our body, why cant we murder, or steal, or lie and stuff?

2. If we are killing the fetus because it MIGHT not be loved, then logically we should be able to kill people who are already grown but are not loved. In both instances, we are doing it for the person's own good, the only difference is that one is in the womb, one isn't.

3. Well, I don't have many thoughts about this one, since it varies by opinion and is so vague, I guess its up to one's interpretation.I dont count it

Hi, my landlord and I are great friends and we hang out alot. The other day he came over while I was researching venus fly traps on the net so I confessed to him that I've always wanted to set-up a terrarium for a venus fly trap but that I've never gotten around to doing it. Then the next day he found out that I was moving two hours away, he showed up at my door with a venus fly trap in a tiny pot as a going away gift. (sweet man) He offered to buy me anything I needed or wanted to set up my terrarium for the fly trap...I already have a 2.5 gallon tank with a glass lid, plus the plant, but we're shopping tomorrow morning for the rest of the needed supplies so that we can set up the terrarium tomorrow afternoon YET I'm still not sure of how to set up the terrarium nor am I sure of the exact care for venus fly traps!
any advise on setting up terrariums for venus fly traps
or any advise on the care of venus fly traps (humidity, food...)
would be greatly appreciated!

I was watching Oprah and one day, Al Gore was on and he was b*tching about using less of our resources and whatever else he always says and Oprah said something along the lines of, "Oh yes, I never ever overuse any resources. I try very hard to conserve and save our planet". But then, she had some specialist come in and talk about how dirty bedsheets get just by sleeping in them and Oprah said something like, "I knew this all along. I have my bedsheets washed everyday and replaced every month". Well, isn't that using an awful lot of water washing them every day? And replacing them every month uses a lot of cotton or silk or whatever she uses. I personally believe she's an old fraud.

I don't understand liberals. Unemployment is at 4.6% and this decade the average unemployment rate is the best in 40 years. the Dow-Jones Industrial Average is over 13,000 and Consumer Confidence is at a six year high. The dot.com bust was the worst economy since the Great Depression yet the highest unemployement got was 6.4%. If the unemployment rate was 0.1% they would complain. CANT LIBERALS JUST SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im looking to buy an authentic football jersey in the next few days. I want one that looks good, can be worn on a regular basis, and is of a good player. Right now I have the list narrowed down to Urlacher, Leinart, Brees,Brady Quinn. I want one that hasnt become too trendy already. Every other jersey you see out there is over played. ok so we moved during my third grade year so my dad cood get a job he wood enjoy more.then in fourth grade my mom and dad divorced he decided he wasnt happy with us anymore so after being mean to my mom and taking alot of their money they joint shared he left. so for a while it was ok for a couple months just going over to my dad then over to my moms untill my dads new girlfriend came into the picture like we got introduced to her then we really didnt talk cuz we didnt no wat to say and were shy. then my dad gets all mad and says we arnt being nice enuff to her and stuff. so this goes on for about three years until finally were sick of her telling us wat to do when she has no control over us and her cussing at us and just overall treating us badly. so then we get a court order that she is not allowd to c us(kind a restraing order thingy). soo then my dad decides he doesnt want to c us anymore so for over a hole year my dad doesnt have any contact with us never calls or nothing. then

verginity together. and well [[lucky lucky us]] we got pregnant. i've never had to deal with ANYTHING like this in my life. and i kno its my fault. but it all happened so fast..and i told him [[the MOST scary and emotional nite of my life]] he took it so good. i thought he'd be mad. and leave me alone with this mess. but thnk god he didn't. i brought up adoption. i've always been against it, but i told him if thats wut he wanted, thats wut i'd do. but he actually shed a couple tears in my arms and begged me to keep it. but i'm so so scared to tell my parents and even more scared that i won't be able to support this baby. gosh, this is just not sumthing that happens to me. its so crazy. i mean..idk. i have so many thoughts...i geuss my question is..wut do i do? do i follow [[our]] hearts and keep our baby. or do i follow my mind and give it up?!? i just don't kno..i kno that kno one can tell me wut to do but myself..i just need to hear some other thoughts..please. and thank you so much.
