From the corner of the divan of Persian saddle-bags on which he was lying, smoking, as was his custom, innumerable cigarettes, Lord Henry Wotton could just catch the gleam of the honey-sweet and honey-coloured blossoms of a laburnum, whose tremulous branches seemed hardly able to bear the burden of a beauty so flamelike as theirs; and now and then the fantastic shadows of birds in flight flitted across the long tussore-silk curtains that were stretched in front of the huge window, producing a kind of momentary Japanese effect, and making him think of those pallid, jade-faced painters of

1- Last night, my wife and I were sitting in the living room and I said to her, "I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug."

She got up, unplugged the TV and then threw out my beer.

She's such a *****.

2-A couple made a deal that whomever died first would come back and
inform the other of the afterlife. Their biggest fear was that there
was no afterlife.

After a long life together, the husband was the first to die. True
to his word he made contact,

"Connie....Connie. .. "

"Is that you,Joe?"
"Yes, I've come back like we agreed."

"That's wonderful! What's it like?"

"Well, I get up in the morning, I have sex. I have breakfast and then
it's off to the golf course. I have sex again, bathe in the warm sun
and then have sex a couple of more times. Then I have lunch (you'd
be proud- lots of greens) another romp around the golfcourse, then pretty
much have sex the rest of the afternoon. After supper, it's back to
golf course again. Then it's more sex until late at night. I catch
some much needed sleep and then the next day it starts all over
again."

"Oh, Joe you surely must be in Heaven!"

"NO, I'M A RABBIT SOME WHERE IN ARIZONA!"

I have been dating my girlfriend for 4 months now. Things seem to be going ok with a few bumps in the road along the way. However, lately, she has been saying I LOVE YOU but not with enthusiasm, including sometimes when she says it on the phone so low I can’t hear her and have to ask what she said. Recently, and only because it was something I said in conversation that brought this up, she said she is going to start working later on Wednesdays starting in 2 weeks and trying to work a few hours extra each day during the week for extra money. Again, she didn’t volunteer this info. Now I wouldn’t think anything of this being that we have talked about getting a place in 5months when her lease is up and we could use the extra cash to support ourselves. However, she has a history of cheating, including her ex hubby. And I still suspect she talks to her other ex she cheated on him with, but she denies it. Even though she has text him in front of me.

I think my ex employer who is actually the Government is providing any prospective employer with inaccurate information in their references. I have asked them to let me see what they are saying about me but they refuse.

Can I demand to see using for example Data Protection Act as they are disclosing things about me without my knowledge/agreement to a third party?

Luther Vandross reportely died from a stroke, but prior to him dying he had the look of someone that was suffering from AIDS, not a stroke. Though the "Offical" answer was that he'd died from a stroke, I'm not so sure he really died from that.

If theres one thing I know for sure, is that when a girl doesnt like something she is gone/out of there within 2 secs flat.
if not sooner. Still guys who mistreat/play the field and cheat their girlfriends,
get loved so much, the girl doesnt seem to want to leave him.
I dont buy that "She doesnt know where to go" shyt.

There were two living above me in an appartment. And I always heard them talking when they were shouting and screaming and yelling, end he called her all kinds of degrading names and all kinds of sicknesses when she suspected him of cheating and argued (and shes right cuz I've seen him once with anther girl)
And the things SHE said as to why she chooses him, just mindboggles me. How she dagrades other boys who have nothing to do with them two, just to show him she wants him, just mindboggles me.
It changed the way I see women, and I see them now through very different &dark glasses/point of view.
They really want it. Theyll do anything to be with an alpha-...

Proverbs 18:20-22 (King James Version)

20A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
21Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

back in the 80's I went through a horrific event in my life that almost distroyed my faith in God and life itself. My heart was so distant from the things of God and I felt as though He and all had abandoned me. I continued to go to church, and did what I considered to be the right things although I didn't feel God and so much negativity came from every side, people were not even aware of what I was going through.
During this time... a couple sang a song, 'Two Winng Hands' it was nice, but, didn't phase me then.
A good six months later one Sunday morning I broke down, closed my eyes, raised my hands and surrendered to our Hevenly Father, I told Him,"I can't bare this anymore!" That's when I saw those 'TWO WINNING HANDS'....

"the real Christians".

Technically we are what the Christian religon is.

Our church is the only church that can be traced back to the apostles.

In the beginning of the protestant groups they broke away so they could do their own thing for example get a divorce and remarry.

I respect everyones religion but it seems like the fundies are so rude and only think they are right.

Muslims, Jews, Wiccans, Agnostic, Buddists just about every other group I can think of is more respectful of others than some of these fundies.

What do you think

The sullen murmur of the bees shouldering their way through the long unmown grass, or circling with monotonous insistence round the dusty gilt horns of the straggling woodbine, seemed to make the stillness more oppressive. The dim roar of London was like the bourdon note of a distant organ.
In the centre of the room, clamped to an upright easel, stood the full-length portrait of a young man of extraordinary personal beauty, and in front of it, some little distance away, was sitting the artist himself, Basil Hallward, whose sudden disappearance some years ago caused, at the time, such public excitement and gave rise to so many strange conjectures.
As the painter looked at the gracious and comely form he had so skilfully mirrored in his art, a smile of pleasure passed across his face, and seemed about to linger there. But he suddenly started up, and closing his eyes, placed his fingers upon the lids, as though he sought to imprison within his brain some curious dream from which he feared he might awake.
"It is your best work, Basil, the best thing you have ever done," said Lord Henry languidly. "You must certainly send it next year to the Grosvenor. The Academy is too large and too vulgar. Whenever I have gone there, there have been either so many people that I have not been able to see the pictures, which was dreadful, or so many pictures that I have not been able to see the people, which was worse. The Grosvenor is really the only place."
