think that...and I think this from day 1, that they found her dead, and so they would not be charged for negligence and the kids taken away the made all this up.

I know there are questions like this every second but I want to keep your theories it in my questions, so at the end we will see how was close.

i think like you..that they drugged the kids so they would sleep the night but maddie either was sick and choked or died of the drugs and when they found her they panicked and disposed of the body.

All theories put forward are pure speculation and are made without any evidence,that which is needed for a conviction.The Prosecution officer in portugal has examined the facts and is convinced that their is a 98% chance that the Mcanns will be convicted,otherwise he would not have passed the papers to a Judge.It is possible a conviction can be got on Circumstancial Evidence and in this case that may be the route they will follow.This being the case then it can be assumed the Mcanns will face prison sentences of 8 yrs each.Only to return to the UK their life in tatters and face the wrath of the British people here,which can be worse than the Prison sentence.Of course the Police will not show their evidence to the Defence council or the media.No further prejudgement of the events should be discussed on sheer speculation it being a irresponsible act.The Courts will decide the outcome should an arrest take place and charges brought,their could well be in excess of 12 charges to answer.Be patient only for a day or so the whole scenario will unfold.

toietmoi lol that's definitely one conspiracy theory that i haven't heard before!!!

I do suspect one or both parents though it may be more plausible that only one parent partook and the campaign was as not for them to be suspects.
I do believe the twins were given some form of drug to help them sleep as I truly believe they would have woken up with all that commotion going on. So logic would suggest Maddie was drugged as well, maybe she had a bad reaction, or too much, who knows until there is a body.
I never really was one for conspiracy theories but as the case progresses its very hard to believe in the parents 100%.
Sadly its looks at this stage that Maddie is dead. The campaign for the last little while hasnt even focused on her.
ANd now that forensics is in play the parents seem to be getting aggitated.
Again logic would suggest that if forensics did not point to the parents they would not have been called in for more questioning.
Also I think she is a suspect but the family & spokes people are putting a spin on it saying its so she can answer more questions but in all logic why would she not answer the questions? and this aguido status gives her the right of silence. Its all too dodgy for my liking

I have been saying from day 1 that the police would find her either dead or would never find her. Its funny that the barman in praia da luz said to police that the mccanns and their friends onlychecked on the kids every hour or so not 1/2 hr as they claimed. From day 1 i have said that the parents as they are drs, that they sedated her to make the kiddies sleep throught the night. The mccanns friends who checked on the kids did NOT enter the appartment and jut listened at the door. Maybe Maddy was overdosed by accident and ended up bleeding internally and out her eyes/ears/nose hence the blood found on wall and curtains of her room she shared with twins. Isn't it wierd that the twins did NOT wake up at all during the screams of kate mccann - why not, they were not tested or drugs as far as im aware and by now all traces would be gone. According to police, sniffer dogs found scent traces and obviously smelt a corpse (Sky webby). I think the parents covered their accident up by using a car/friends hired car to drive somewhere lets say 10 miles away and bury the body in a remote place. Then they would not find the body. Just think how many people ran into the appartment when they heard kate's screams. I think these are a devious couple and have taken money from people for this fund, what if they never find the body, will the Mccanns be charged? I presume not. Too much media coverage on this to make lots of it seem real what the mccanns have said. Too many conspiricy theories and what seems to be little evidence or truth.
Sorry to ramble on but this is what i believe.

It is quite possible that there was an accident or accidental overdose of sleeping pills, then they tried to cover up with an abduction theory. It has always seemed strange how such young children manage to sleep so well in a strange place.
The police should have had the twins checked at hospital after the supposed abduction, common practise in the UK after such an incident, then it might be clear why they were so quiet.
Even if they didn't play any part, one of them is hiding something possibly to do with gross child neglect, the inconsistencies of timings. Maybe Gerry is covering up for Kate as she is my suspect for foul play.

This is ONLY a theory (purely hypothetical), parents getting ready for dinner and quiz night, 3 kiddies acting up parent gets frustrated maybe slaps child and child falls, hits head around the temple area, therefore little or no blood, killed instantly, parents panic, father calls and cancels babysitting/listening service (yes it was reported that 1 hour before babysitter due he cancelled), administers sleeping aid to twins, and they carry on as normal.........chilly I know, but hey what would you do.

Some (maybe all) of their friends at dinner were told, one member was missing for quite some time on the pretext of their child being violently ill, now if my child was vomiting badly, there is no way I would toddle off to dinner, it's just a cover, maybe this person assisted in laying the child to rest.

Father then, after quiz is over invites quiz master/mistress over to their table for a chat, why ?, for an independent witness.

Madeleine was a known somnambulist both in Portugal and at home, so how could her mum swear that there was NO way Madeleine could have left the room on her own, the only reason being would be because she was physically unable.

And well, you all know the rest. If you start with a lie, only lies follow and the truth is lost.

Well, from living in Jersey, i know that the Portuguese are very proud and i know what their attitude is towards British or any foreigners for that matter. I think that the Portuguese police services have made very little effort to solve this case, other cases have taken far less time to come to a conclusion, for example, Sarah Payne and Hollie and Jess. I think that by the time any progress was made Maddie had been taken from the apartment and possibly killed before hand, if that is not the case then she was definately arleady a fair distance away from portugal. The other theory i have is that there are so many holes in this case that - as sick as it may sound, it could just all be a hoax.

I continue to hope she will be found.
If the McCanns did it, i don't believe it was intentional. It would have been a tragic accident, and the lies have spiralled out of control.
If either of the McCanns are lying, it is only a matter of time before the truth spills out.

i think that poor kid has been dead right from the start my opinion is that they gave her the drugs and it killed her by overdose and they are trying to cover up for what they did thats probably why other wee kids never woke they were probably drugged too it just shows you they thought more of going for a drink and bite to eat than their kids their not fit to be called parents then again i hope im wrong and they find the wee kid alive and well

Here's a question for Cornish Angel. Where did the McCanns get a spade from to bury their daughter in such a short time? did they (a) buy one? (b) borrow one ? or (c) use the one provided in the holiday apartment, as holiday apartments come equipt with garden tools don't they? or, did they bury her with their bare hands?............... Think about it, before making stupid accusations.
