Taking into consideration that the church always was against veneration of Nature, stating it was de facto a 'false god' and now sudddenly they take a 180° spin. Is the pope honestly changing, something that'd normally take years, if not centuries, or is he just trying to make the church get profit out of the 'new' environmentalism ?

I am a divorced mom living in Hawaii and I often use a chat room that is for people in Hawaii. I have met a lot of my friends that way. I have emailed for a few months with a woman who just moved to Hawaii (a different island) with her husband and we became friendly, so I invited her to stay with us if they ever came to my island. They planned a trip here and arrived yesterday. We had a bbq at my house and then went to the beach in the afternoon and out to dinner last night (they paid). This morning I drove them halfway around the island to a beautiful beach where we swam and snorkeled. Then we went shopping and out to lunch and saw some other sights. When we got home, I took a quick nap but my son didn't sleep. When I woke up, they told me they had decided "we'd all be more comfortable" if they stayed at a hotel tonight. I dropped them at the hotel without speaking to them for the entire ride. My feelings are really hurt as I feel I've been used. What do you think?

My wisdom tooth is growing in wrong. Ive aleady been to the dentist who is going to refer me to an oral surgeon, but that hasn't happened yet. Probably going to happen on Tuesday. In the mean time. Ive been taking tylenol, advl and aleve for the pain. Its been pretty much working until tonight. I took a 500 mg tylenol about 3 hours ago and 1 hour ago my mouth just started throbbing with pain. The gum surrounding the tooth is swollen and my mouh feels like its about to shut down. Its getting harder and harder to open it. My job calls for me to talk on the phone a lot. What can I do for now?

I recently found out about Linux, and I'm very interested in exploring it. I only have one major problem holding me back, and that is I'm one of those people who were slaves to windows, which makes it difficult to immediately transfer.
So then researched an found these demonstration videos about using Linux "Ubuntu+Beryl", and one side of the cube actually had a working XP desktop.
**** Vista :)
I was astounded and was more eager to try this alternative. When I researched, I found so many ways to have both OS's on one computer simultaneously with XP on one Cube face, booted separately at startup, switchable during sessions, etc...etc.. which only constituted towards more confusion.
I'm a typical windows user, and all i have is the Ubuntu bootable CD ready. Then I found out about this partitions thing, which only made things even worse. I already went though a laptop, now it has only Linux, but always freezes at startup. Since i dont know the tech, i cant erase the hard drive clean.

So in the garden of eden adam and eve eat the forbidden fruit and are cursed by god with mortality and women are cursed to go through painful bloody childbirth which back then threatened the lives of mother and child. It's not like Eve knew much better, god seems to never have said a single word to her, so she has spoken to a snake and Adam, who was literally born yesterday.

Cain on the other hand commits fratricide becuase "god liked his brothers offering better" and is esentially rewarded for this.

What the hell is wrong with this picture? All I can get from this is god thinks it is better to kill your own family then to aquire knowledge?
