If the area is an actual square 8.36x8.36 or a 7x10 then you simply divide the area of a single tile into your total area.
First find the area of a single tile:

(0.6x0.3) = 0.18m²
then divide:
70m² / 0.18m² = 388.88 = 389 tiles

this is the minimum amount of tiles you will theoretically need, if the shape of your area is irregular and you have to make many cuts you may need a few extra tiles, so 400 is a more realistic number especially if they come in packages of 10. If they come 12 to a pack then 33 dozen is 396 tiles.

Total area is 70 sq.m. and tile area is 60 × 30 cm^2
As both the units of measure are different, make it same. You can convert cm to meter by dividing by 100
so 60 cm = 60/100= 0.6 meter and 30 cm = 30/100 = 0.3 m.
So area of tile = 0.6 × 0.3 = 0.18
No. of Tiles required = Total area /Tile area.
= 70 / 0.18 = 388.88
so 389 tiles are required.

one squre meter equals 10,000 square centi meters.
As said one tile area eqals (60multiply30 cm)1800sqre cm.
There fore per sqre mtr, required tiles equals (10,000 devide by 1800)5.5nos. Say 6nos.
For 70 sqre meter, required tiles eqals (70multiply6)420nos.

hi

firstly you have 70 sq m of coverage, so length x width = 8.36 *8.36.

so first calculate how many tiles needed for :
the length = 8.36 * 60 cm convert to meter 0.6m so
8.36 / 0.6 = 13.93 tiles for length

width = 8.36 * 30cm convert to meter = 0.3m so

8.36 / 0.3 = 27.86 tiles for the width

so 13.93 (L) * 27.86 (W) = 388.08 tiles so round up to 389 tiles
