I don't buy the premise of your question. Plutocracies are governments run by the wealthy. I don't see that. Most third world governments are run by dictators and thugs. The rest are run by whoever or whatever group is devious enough to gain control due to the apathy of their uninformed electorates. People get the government they deserve. In America, the original American Dream has dissolved due to the fact that over time we have allowed too many opposing worldviews to gain ascendancy. Our Forefathers envisioned "a shining city on a hill". In other words, the type of nation other nations would be wise to emulate. As we, as a nation, gradually allowed the ever present naysayers in our midst to denigrate America's exceptionalism to the point that that ideal was lost; we sealed our own fate. Now, instead of leading the parade, we've fallen in behind the nations that are marching to the long, sad drumbeat of fascism, heading straight into a one world governmnt system. Sadly, we're getting what we deserve, due to our lack of vigilence and care.

I don't care, because I see no other alternative. Power, by nature, is wealth. The powerful will be always be wealthy in some way; wealth in riches or wealth in intelligence is still wealth. The alternative is a to be ruled by a lack of wealth, and that would be a bad idea.
