My husband and I are thinking about getting pregnant but we need to see a doctor first to see if we even can. I'm am a little scared as i have no idea how a women get tested for that. I know that men just squirt in a cup...but for women does it hurt? what do they do?

Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter for any of you who send feedback. It is very much needed and appreciated. So. Im 23 and new to San Diego and came here to break a vicious cycle i was headed on. After reading the question regarding Goldwing's loss, I've once again been reminded that we shouldn't fear death, it's a transition. In our culture, the majority of people do but I have to wonder, are "souls" worried and scared before they come into this world? I doubt it. Knowing that every living thing on this earth is temporary and moves on, makes me realize our time here is short and should be savored.
I don't care if you don't agree with me, I'm just curious how other people perceive death.

Why are we not allowed to cuss in certain places (school especially....and here on Yahoo Answers)? What's the difference between the word poop and the "s-word"? They mean the same thing, but people say the s-word is offensive. But what makes it offensive? Since we have freedom of speech we should be allowed to say anything we want, anywhere, under all situations. Do you agree or disagree?

i really need glasses, my prescription went up a lot.
we went to a place today, and i really liked these frames.
http://eyeglasses.go-optic.com/store/Eyeglasses/details.asp?id=9496 at that place, it cost 210 dollars. at that, my dad went crazy. he started yelling at me in the store, and compared the price to glasses in taiwan, which are about 120 dollars. he asked me why i didnt get glasses in taiwan, and i said that all their styles are ugly, and i really really liked the said frames. besides, i went to a place in taiwan, and i could tell the material was really cheap. i was really embarrassed, because people were staring at me. now my parents want me to get eyeglasses from costo. i didnt see any good frames, their kids section is too small, and their adults section is too big. i really want the coach frames, what can i do to convince my dad?

OK, I have been told that my 99 Express Van needs a new fuel pump, but I'm not so convinced. My van runs. It makes a little noise...kinda a puttering, not loud. The check engine light was on, but currently it's off. It seems from what I've been reading that if you need a new fuel pump, your car will not start, or it will stall and need to be restarted... It actually runs just fine, the puttering starts when I'm accelerating, but it does not slow the van down. I was told that I needed a new fuel pump, maybe a new compressor, and all new wiring and spark plugs! Total cost would be just under $3,000!!! Please, if you have any insight at all, please share.

Please, only people who are mechanics, or really know something about cars. Thank you so much!

Hi,

After running the cold water in my bathroom sink I can hear the sound of dripping water 'inside' one of my internal walls.

I know I need to sort this out but is there any "easy" way of doing this without completely tearing down my walls / bathroom suite to find and fix the leak?

Any advice would be hugely welcome.

I recently had to put down my other two dacshunds. One for old age and the other was only 3 and got very sick. I have a 2 yr old male that is haveing back problems right now and I am trying to find companionship for him when he is well, (also trying to heal my heart.) I am looking for a small, cudly, low maintenance dog, that would also play.
