How do I turn off /switch off my anti-virus program so that it's not running in the background? I have AVG....

press ctrl and alt at the same time then press delte this brings up task manager click end task

I don't suggest doing that. But you can turn it of by doing CTRL Alt Delete. Secondly AVG sucks; get McAfee instead
