...That the "aging" process is actually "why" we live as long as we do...the fact that our cells reach a point where they stop replicating "helps" us live much longer than if they kept trying to divide, because if they did, the "tail" of the DNA strand would run out of "length," and we would simply "dissolve" at that point instead of staying alive longer...This is one more discovery that "reversed" a traditional scientific assumptive belief, and I'm noticing more and more things are being "turned" on their head, so to speak...Such as the undeniable connection between "legal abortions" and a low crime rate...less late teen punks raised by parents who shouldn't have been parenting equates to less crime...
(and Pluto is no longer a "planet...")
What else could we be "backwards" about in our cultural and scientific thinking...?
