Kind of defeats the purpose of the Constitution and why America sought independence, isn't it?

Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc. etc.?

Maybe it's "intolerance" that should be banned or made illegal.

"Because they cause more deaths than anything."

Interesting. Now we ban activity by the amount of death it causes? By that logic, we'll soon be banning non monogomous sex, wouldn't we? That leads to death, as well as smoking, high cholestoral food, driving in the rain and so many other activities.

And I'd also ask you to turn your history book back to Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao and Pol-Pot.

Pop quiz - what was the State's official religion (answer: no religion allowed - atheism would save the state)

Pop quiz - how many folks died under the governments that explicitly banned religion? Answer - 60 million in roughly 60 years. Do the math...

Now...should every religion be banned? I'd say it's been done before, more than once, and always the same results.

Really? Religion causes death...I thought it was ethnic intolerance like what is going on in Darfur and to the Jews. (the Jewish are a race not just a religion). Also, political power plays a major part...most dictators are not religious leaders. Famine, world crisis and war over oil are contributing factors and lets not forget people die everyday from AIDS, poverty and abandonment. Lets see the last time I looked...yeah..thats right...its mostly faith based organizations that give relief to those that are suffering from all over the world. If you want to experience a world without religion pack up yer stuff and move to North Korea...they like anti-religious types like yourself. Maybe you should rethink this....after all the most death ever on the planet to take place has been the supression or "banning" of faith/religion from the common people. I think people should just be left alone to live, believe and move about how they want no matter what their religion, skin color, geological location, or circumstance...bigotry is ugly...your heart needs a face lift. Even if all religions were banned, people would still practice.

Religion is the root of all evil and wars.

of course not... what a stupid idea. Religion doesn't "cause more deaths than anything"... it may cause conflict but it also provides comfort and hope for those who need it.

Falling coconuts cause more deaths every year than shark attacks. Does that mean they're more scary than sharks? Nope. Your logic is flawed.

No....but education in critical thinking and the history of religion should be mandatory.

That should solve the problem for all but the most thick-headed.

No, that would be taking away peoples rights to think and believe freely. It would be devastating for a LOT of people, very cruel idea.
