in my sphere of experience i have noticed that whenever we create something, something else is destroyed. If that be the case, how can someone follow the rede--"and it harm none, do as you will"--when they know that for every action they take, there is an opposite reaction, for every positive there is a negative and for every negative there is a positive? If for example i do a spell to get money, then in order for me to receive that money someone else has to lose it. wouldn't that harm the person who lost the money? This is why i do not follow the rede, because i do not believe you can.

PS i am pagan but not wiccan if anyone wonders :)

The kids are having an X Factor party tonight while they watch it on tv, and Simon Cowell has just announced that 'things aren't right', 'we've decided to make a change'.

They've 'sacked' the American choreographer guy, (or rather given him another 'job') and guess what? ...

... they've brought back Louis! Just like that!!

Who are they trying to kid??!!

It seems to me that God is considered responsible for positive things, but he is not considered responsible for negative things.

If your home was on fire, you might pray. But you'd do more than pray--you'd call 911, if you could. And who would come? Firefighters. NOT God, though I'm sure you'll say he's there in spirit.

When the firefighters arrive, and save your life, you will likely thank them. However, you'll also likely thank God for the "miracle," and claim him the person to be thanked when telling your story.

But what if the firefighters didn't arrive? If they decided not to come, and you were to die, I GUARANTEE your family members would blame THEM, and NOT God.

So, let me get this straight: when people do something good, it's all thanks to God. But when they do something bad, it's all their fault. How is that fair?

So really, *WE* can't do anything good, by our own account. However, we can do bad things. Isn't that just setting us up for failure?

I am going to buy a sailboat next spring (16-22ft). I live in upstate NY and everything freezes in the winter. Can I keep the boat in the slip all year, or will the hull crack? Should I pull the boat out for the winter months?

Sorry if this question sounds stupid, but someone told me you can leave them in all year.

I was recently hospitalized for a few days when a male nurse that I'd met in the same hospital before began flirting with me. I wasn't exactly attracted to him, but being a seasoned flirt, I flirted back. There was a nureses aide there who made it obvious that she was somehow involved with him. Each time he came in my room for any reason, I could hear her coming with the blood pressure machine moving fast and she would burst into the room looking for any sign that something was going on. The male nurse became very tense after this and ceased his flirtations. After the second time this assistant went through the motions of taking my blood pressure, I asked her what it was. She replied "Huh?", and had to check the machine with a sheepish look. I found it disgusting that I had to wittness this where I was supposed to be getting treatment. She went as far as having one of her associates come ask if I had a date while I applied make up before leaving and if that was the reason why I did it

I just bought a new iMac and I want to put Windows XP on it. The problem is that I can't decide how big to make the hard drive partition. I have a 750 GB HD (which is actually only 698 GB before any installations). I will only be using Windows for small school related things such as Access. I will use Office for Mac and do all of my internet things in OS X. Basically I will only be using Windows for any school project that I have to do that I can't do on my Mac. I do, however, want to upgrade to Vista in the future so I would need to leave enough space for that.

How big should I make the Windows partition?

Thanks.
