It would run fine but better if you overclock that E4300 to 2.5-2.7Ghz. It should be easy on stock cooler and stock voltages. Then overclock your 7900GS some more. Just ensure good case ventilation.

You should be able to run it almost all high settings with a few medium settings in DirectX9 Mode. It should run fine, go ahead and buy it. You wont get the eyecandy that DX10 brings because you dont have an 8 series card but dont worry. DX9 will still look great aswell.

To the person above. The game was running in DX10 mode, of course it is going to lag. DX10 games have yet to be fully optimized and Crysis is one of those games that is going to try to do that. Since DX10 is not an issue at hand do not worry, you'll almost be able to max out the game in DX9 mode.

Yes, but you won't be able to use DirectX10.

DirectX10 is what makes it very realistic.

The GeForce 7 series doesn't support DirectX10, thus Crysis will be downscaled to DirectX9. The GeForce 8 series supports DirectX10.

If your monitor is an LCD, you should always run it at the highest resolution it can support. Set the other settings so the game is smooth enough to play.

I highly doubt your computer will be able to run it at high settings smoothly.

At E3 they tested the game, and it even lagged with an 8800GTS 320MB when every setting was set to highest.
