I have two great games to suggest. They are both RPGs. First, check out Dark Cloud 2 (If you are outside of the US, it's called Dark Chronicle). You don't need to play the first one to play the 2nd, I played the sequel first. This game is an action RPG, with a lot of fun minigames. Second, get Dragon Quest 8. It's a turn based RPG by Square-Enix (creators of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts) and Level 5 (creator of Dark Cloud). I can't say enough good things about this game. It's epic, with 2 separate endings, and the "Dragovian Trials" to add to the fun.
Also, I recommend Resident Evil 4. This game is stellar, it's a action/horror masterpiece.

Pro Evolution 6 is a good Football game
Also Splinter Cell double agent is a good stealth game
