My 100 foot network cable that I ran upstairs last fall has been so much better. Was able to use my router and still have a pc upstairs. But, a problem has arising. The end that plugs into the computer doesnt clip in anymore (the prong broke off). Do they sell any type of glove or anything that I can put on it fix it. It becomes loose easily and most people say just buy a new cable its cheap enough. But my time and money of rewiring it is not worth it to me. Is there any type of device I can use or any suggestions? Thanks.

there are creaking noises and things like that. i dont know for sure it could be a mouse or something...Arrgghh mouse!

ANYWAY,
strange things have happened before like things have gone missing off the mantlepiece, things moving (poltergeist) eg. when we had visitors once a paper bag fell from a shelf ontop of them both (this has happened twice) AND my mum has said she was in the bathroom once and she felt tugging on her shirt!

i think this is a friendly ghost (child?)
is it a poltergeist?
and have you had anything like this before?

My fiance and I are paying for our own wedding. We're having our reception at a country club with a specific minimum that we don't want to go over - if any "extra" guests show up then we automatically have to pay about $68/head. So we are trying to keep the guest list under a certain number. I've come across numerous people, mainly just acquaintances, who automatically assume that they are coming. It really puts me in an awkward position when they say "So I'm getting an invite right??" or "I can't wait to go to your wedding!". Frankly I've never made an assumption that I would be a guest at someone's wedding, so I'm a little surprised to see how many people who actually do - especially those that I'm not even good friends with!! I don't mind these people, but again we are on a budget and I'd rather have our money spent on family and good friends. How do you respond to people who have such expectations on you?

Standard car battery (PowerVolt - an Interstate Brand). Not deep cycling or gel or anything other than a run of the mill car battery. It has water in cells.

Headlights were left on - for like weeks. I suppose they weren't putting out any light after some number of hours, but the lights were left in the on position.

It is used for off-road activities, and had been left sitting with the lights 'on' for at least a week.

It can be jump-started, though.

The battery is about a year old - if that makes any difference.

The question:

(I know there are no absolutes, but there are 99% likelihoods).

Is the battery most like completely dead / history / toast / past-tense or might it be re-chargeable ?

What are the odds of each, in your estimation ?

Thanks.

My leaf blower's motor stopped working the other day and causes the circuit breaker to trip every time I switch it on. It's a 1 HP AC Motor. I unassembled it and cleaned it since it was horribly dirty but that didn't solve the problem. There is a small board with the wires welded on to it right before the motor but I don't know what it is. It has like four tiny black cylinders and two orange round things. Could it be the problem, and can the motor run without it if I connected the motor wires straight to the plug?

Contrary to popular belief Wall Street's great crash of 1929 was not the "cause" of the Great Depression that followed. However, I was just wondering, can one of you history buffs please tell me what was so "great" about the Great Depression?

A white guy is walking along a beach when he comes across a lamp partially buried in the sand. He picks up the lamp and gives it rub.

Two blonde genies appear, and they tell him he has been granted three wishes.

The guy makes his three wishes and the blonde genies disappear.

The next thing the guy knows, he's in a bedroom, in a mansion surrounded by 50 beautiful women. He makes love to all of them and begins to explore the house.

Suddenly he feels something soft under his feet, he looks down and the floor is covered in $100 bills.

Then, there is a knock at the door. He answers the door and standing there are two persons dressed in Klu Klux Klan outfits.

They drag him outside to the nearest tree, throw a rope over a limb and hang him by the neck until he is dead. The Klansmen walk off. As they are walking away, they remove their hoods; it's the two blonde genies.

One blonde genie says to the other one, "Hey, I can understand the first wish having all these beautiful women in a big mansion to make love to. I can also understand him wanting to be a millionaire. But to be hung like a black man is beyond me."

My fiance and I are planning on getting married in the Catholic Church next summer. I was born and raised Catholic, and she was baptized Catholic but raised Protestant (long story). She is now interested in practicing the Catholic faith again. However, most of her family and a good percentage of mine are not Catholic. I have heard that if both partners are Catholic, the ceremony must be a Nuptial Mass rather than just a ceremony. We don't want to do this for a couple of reasons: 1. Certain members of her family are disappointed that she's not going to be Protestant any more, and having a Wedding Mass will just exacerbate the situation. 2. Most of the people at the wedding won't be Catholic, and we'd prefer the ceremony to be an inclusive affair rather than excluding the Protestant people from parts of the ceremony. Any insights or web resources you could give would be greatly appreciated.
