i broke up with my boy friend earlier this week becasue i didnt really like him, you know? buti liek this other guy, who knows me, but i cant get a vibe from him. i dont want to start like majorly flirting and have him just be not into it. I don't know what to do. Its a situation where, we arent close, but I've known him forever. Know what i mean? what should i do?!?!?!?!

I am 27 and just starting community college. Late started, I know. I was able to get enough money to cover school, but I have to buy my own books and would like to find out if there is a book samaritan for college textbooks or if there is such a thing as free textbooks for people who can't afford them.

So I started working at Mobil on Tuesday and my stalker person came in and I freaked out. I came home and still wasn't asleep by fou in the morning. Then I went back yesterday and worked and he came in again and I freaked out. I was going to wait on him but then the person who was training me seen the look on my face and came and rescued me. I went and told my boss yesterday about this guy and how I didn't feel safe becuz of him and she told me that he was a regular for more then 10 years and that she can't just bann him. I either had to find a way to get used to it or I had to quit. I've been talking to this person who works at a shelter and some other people and all of them told me that my safety should always come first so if I didn't feel safe that I should quit. I didn't want to quit but I did. And now I regret it. I feel as if I should be over it. What is wrong wtih me?? I have to lie to my parents about not having a job anymore cuz they wouldn't approve of quiting for that....

A “wise” man once said, “Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’re going to get!” You know, he was right. You just never know what you’re going to get in life. But there’s more to our existence than just this life on earth. What about eternity? We can all afford to make mistakes in this life, but when it comes to our eternal destination, none of us can afford to be wrong! So how do you know where you’ll spend eternity? You can find out by asking yourself if you have kept God’s moral Law, the Ten Commandments: Have you ever told a lie? (White lies, half truths, and exaggerations are still lies.) Have you ever stolen anything? (The value is irrelevant.) Have you ever taken God’s name in vain? That’s called blasphemy. Have you ever looked at another person with lustful desires? Jesus said, “Anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matthew 5:28). If you have done these things, then God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer-at-heart. What will you say on Judgment Day? Your conscience confirms that you are guilty. If you are found guilty of breaking God’s Laws, your punishment will be eternity in Hell. Does that concern you? It should. There is good news, though! God became man in the person of Jesus Christ, who came to this earth to suffer and take God’s wrath for your sin upon Himself. He suffered and died on a cross, taking your punishment. You broke God’s Law, and Jesus paid your fine! That’s God’s gift to you! You cannot earn a gift—you can only accept it with gratitude. In order to accept this gift, God commands you to repent (turn from your sins) and place your faith in Jesus Christ alone to save you. Please do that today; you may not have tomorrow. When you do, your eternal destination will be certain—Heaven. Nothing could be sweeter!

The police came to my house tonight and wanted to know if we saw anything suspicious last night, because a home got broken into last night. I answered the door before my parents (I'm 16) and the police officer started asking me questions, and he asked if I had any friends over, and I told him that my friends Danette and Kaylee were over last night, and then he started asking all sorts of questions about them, like where they live, there phone number, last names, school they go to and other stuff like that.

Do you think that the other people on my street saw them last night and though it was them who broke into the house? Because I know they wouldn't break into a house, and now I'm worried they will be mad at me if they get in trouble. Do you think they will get in trouble, and what do I do if they are mad for giving out there information?

I believe that it most definately did.

I ran into an in-between-jobs cabbie. He is a degree holder, and works in some IT field. Assuming he was educated, I was shocked to hear him say that the Holocaust didn't happen.

Whenever I give my Beagle her favorite toy, she immediately gets defensive. Anybody who walks near the dog is growled at. Petting her is putting yourself up at risk for a dog bite. Just a day ago, I was petting her on the head when out of the blue, she attacked me ferociously. I ended up with a decent sized bruise and two small holes on the top of my hand. I feel as if I'd have to give the dog away if she continues to keep this up. What can I do to stop her anger!

I used to have just a normal router to share internet connection between mine and my husband's computers. Recently my husband brought home a new wireless firewall router. After a long 'playing around' with the setting, he finally got the wireless router to work, but only to realise port forwarding is blocked when using this new router and can't seem to get the settings right to allow port forwarding. Finally decided to change back to our old standard router, only to find that port forwarding is still blocked and can't get it to work the way it used to work.
We even tried and pressed the reset button on the standard router, didn't seem to work. It feels like from changing to the wireless router and back, some settings are changed without us knowing what is it.
Is there any suggestions? Anything I should be checking? Please help, coz now it's stopping me from doing things I used to be able to do, like downloading and listening to online radio stations. Thanks so much...

the other day, my daughter and her boyfriend got into a fight and he choked her, she calls me and tells me what happened, I immediately call the police to ask for assistance and sped home. He was arrested for assaulting her and she now blames me for ruining her life. BTW, she's 5 mos pregnant. They've had a volatile relationship from the beginning. All I was doing was acting on information she provided to me and protecting my child. Was I wrong?

Let's say you give a gift certificate to someone. This gift certificate is an online gift certificate that you send to them via e-mail, and they use it on the website.

Now let's say you regret giving them the gift, and decide that you would like to take it back.

So what you do is you go to the website, and tell them that the original gift certificate got deleted by accident by the person you gave it to. You then get them to void/cancel the current gift certificate's "claim code", and request that they send a new "claim code".

However, you request that this new "claim code" be sent to your e-mail address, rather than re-sent to the e-mail address of the person you originally gave the gift certificate to.

I now ask you: What do you think of this entire thing? Do you think it is okay to do? If not okay, then how bad is it?
