The police came to my house tonight and wanted to know if we saw anything suspicious last night, because a home got broken into last night. I answered the door before my parents (I'm 16) and the police officer started asking me questions, and he asked if I had any friends over, and I told him that my friends Danette and Kaylee were over last night, and then he started asking all sorts of questions about them, like where they live, there phone number, last names, school they go to and other stuff like that.

Do you think that the other people on my street saw them last night and though it was them who broke into the house? Because I know they wouldn't break into a house, and now I'm worried they will be mad at me if they get in trouble. Do you think they will get in trouble, and what do I do if they are mad for giving out there information?

They will get over it sooner or later trust me. Cops are not aloud to give out information that was givin to them that way no one gets hurt and you don't loose your friends.

well i think some ppl may thought that hey u cant trust no one but if ur 100% sure they were with u and did nothing wrong then their is no problem and if ur friends get mad which i think they are jsut tell them u were just saying the truth they wont get into trouble if they were at ur house doing nothing wrong but if they did their going to have to pay the consequences

Don' t worry. He just asked you some questions and you were truthful. If they are innocent, they won't get in trouble. Talk to your parents, tell them your fears. They should be the ones to talk with. You shouldn't have to post those questions here.

well if they didn't do it, don't worry about it, the police will ask them questions and as long as they have an alibi (say for instance they were at your house during the break in) they won't be arrested.
