First of all, vehicles have been manufactured to last 100,000 miles for at least 50 years that I am aware of. Now we come to the van in question, I would bet this has been driven 175,000, the guideline for vehichles is 10,000 - 15,000 miles per year, which tells me the minimum on this would be 130,000 and the max around the 175,000. Unless you see some sort of proof that the mileage is Original and the odometer has not flipped over, then I'm saying it is 175,000. I'm not saying it isn't possible, what I am saying is that it is highly improbable.

Unless in general Astro Mini Van drivers tend to drive their cars very infrequently - Yes, that is really low mileage in general for a car/van, considering the year. Also, there were a number of cars in the 90s build to exceed 100,000 miles, but most frequently Japanese cars like Toyota, Honda, etc. Less likely a Chevy. I'm sure there were Chevies then (& now) that could exceed 100,000 miles, but probably not as many as the Japanese models, & might start to require more work earlier, too.

My dad had 200,000+ and never a problem but he had all maintenance done and never towed anything. Depends on how it was taken care of. Look at the engine (oily, dirty etc), brake pedal (worn), tires etc. If it was maintained you should have minimal problems. If it was hard delivery miles, it may be just to the point of being due to have everything done.
