Will Republicans be apologizing for Jose Padilla for several decades to come?
The illegal imprisonment, torture, and forced mental breakdown of this US citizen - who is, of course, entitled to due process and the presumption of innocence - ranks up there with the mass internment of Japanese-Americans as an inexplicable violation of our most basic civil rights.

Historians will be shaking their heads. Future Presidents will apologize, and people will say "if only we could have stopped it". "If only we had known". We DO know and we CAN stop it.
But for some reason we choose not to.

We have been together for a year (and 2 months). I recently told him I loved him and he said he doesn't feel a natural connection with me. At the same time he has problems with various things, such as my age (even though I'm only three years younger than him). It seems like he keeps on pulling out small things about me that he doesn't like or that bothers him. Something so simple as we talk and write differently. I feel that I have a connection with him and I don't see why he would stay with me a year if nothing felt "natural". Is there some way to build that natural connection with him or should I just forget about it. I feel like he is just making up a bunch of excuses to not be with me, even though he said he wasn't. I really want to try to fix the relationship and he said that he would try to too. I'm wondering if it's really worth it, my feelings are strong for him so it's difficult to just give up. I don't know why but I also worry about being alone if we are not together anymore

I've been on ortho tri-cyclen lo for 4 months. and i will be on my fifth month. i got my 4 months from planned parent hood. but then i turned 18 and now i have to go in and pay for them. i didn't have a chance to get there so my sister gave me a pack of hers. she takes ortho tri-cyclen lo too, i thought it would be okay to take them. but i wonder if there is more than one kind?

We have tried many products but when our wonderful dog had a bladder stone she tinkled in many spots. Now we have stains in spots we never realised she got to. Her room also smells "funny" I need to figure out how to fix that . I can not replace the carpet. Thank You

I hear lots of people talking about how the United states helped start the taliban? Is this true? Articles in the internet have said that during the cold war or somethin the Us gave money to pakistan and afghanistan to start a group to help kick the russians out of there country. We usually do send money/troops to the country being invaded to support them. But, this time it backfired on to us. What do you think?

living on the south east coast my whole life, i'm very familiar with hurricane safety, and tornado safety, but that won't do me any good in southern california! i've looked online at earthquake safety, but i want DETAILED answers, like, am i safer on the 1st or 2nd story of my house in and after an earthquake? online so far basically all i've found is to stay inside. to which i have to reply...DUH. can anyone give me or point me to safety tips as to which story of my house i should be on (no basement), and other good information? thanks!

I just recently moved into a house with hardwood floors and previously have no experience with them. It is a rental and so naturally the floors paint sealer or whatever top coat has been rubbed off so pretty much it is JUST wood. How am I suppose to clean and take care of it?

Big reminder..THERE IS NO PAINT SEALER OR SHINE TO THE FLOORS AT ALL!!! They are really old floors and so either never had that or it has been worn away.

iv got 32 DD and have no problems with that...alright i wounldnt say i loved or hated them...but people always think when they know youve got DD you must be huge but to be honest i dont think there that big...i mean when you look at them they dont look big at all...if youve got DD do you like them or not n do you think they are as big as people think??? n if your a guy reading this do you think DD is good or too big???
