A Liberal asked this question, but I don't think he will like the truth, or the answer....(I am not mentioning names, lol.)

Will Republicans be apologizing for Jose Padilla for several decades to come?
The illegal imprisonment, torture, and forced mental breakdown of this US citizen - who is, of course, entitled to due process and the presumption of innocence - ranks up there with the mass internment of Japanese-Americans as an inexplicable violation of our most basic civil rights.

Historians will be shaking their heads. Future Presidents will apologize, and people will say "if only we could have stopped it". "If only we had known". We DO know and we CAN stop it.
But for some reason we choose not to.
chance_m_20, welcome to America. In this country, we don't find people innocent. You ARE innocent, until we find you guilty!

My answer...

No. There is no reason to.

3 days later..... PADILLA FOUND GUILTY OF FEDERAL TERRORISM SUPPORT CHARGES!

Will the Liberals appoligize to Republicans for being s.t.u.p.i.d?

There's little doubt in my mind that they're wrong. They're so filled with hatred, that it's impossible for them to see or feel anything else. That's exactly why we can't trust them to run this country.

I remember that question and didn't even bother responding to it because it wasn't worth it (like so many other questions). Apologize? LMAO! Not on your life. They will defend a creep like that LONG before they come to the defense of their own country.

You are right on ! Here`s another example of liberals and their socialist bias` media lies and cover ups`with NO APOLOGIZES` after proven wrong ! Rep. John Murtha,D-PA , a former marine, asserted that publicly on May 17 , that he had learned of from "Marine Corps Officials" that innocent Iraqi civilians had been killed in cold blood ! However , just this past week or so after all the evidence was presented in the trial of " The Haditah Marines" were found innocent & not guilty of all charges asserted by John Murtha! One reason for the "Not Guity" verdict was that John Murtha lied about his sources of proof & information ! The original sources of his information that enabled Murtha to condemn and convict these brave Marines before a trial turned out not to be "Marine Corps Officials" , but "al queda" sympathizers in the islamic press !!!

☼There is nothing correct about political "correctness".
It's liberals trying to force their form of CENSORSHIP down everyone's throats
(this is why I'm a MODERATE).
I'm my own person & pride myself on not being PC.
Once you go PC, you've given up having your own opinions & now only say what a good lil' zombie is told to.
►The old ways are dead. And you need people around you who concur.
That means hanging out more with the creative people, the freaks, the real visionaries, than you're already doing. Thinking more about what their needs are, and responding accordingly. Avoid the dullards; avoid the folk who play it safe. They can't help you any more. Their stability model no longer offers that much stability. They are extinct, they are extinction.◄

I fully support President Bush in the War on Terror; despite the fact that in many ways, it has been grossly mishandled. But at this point, we need to finish the job.

However, the Jose Padilla incident was dead wrong. He is a U.S. Citizen, arrested on U.S. soil, and he is entitled to the protections of the U.S. Constitution. The treatment of foreign terrorists, or enemy combatants, does not concern me so much. But it is outrageous that a U.S. Citizen should be treated as he was.

Now that he has been convicted, he should serve whatever prison term he receives. But we must be careful never to allow such abuses of power in the future.

I am all for locking up convicted terrorists. I am not for indefinitely locking up people whom the government claims are terrorists based on some secret evidence. That goes doubly when it is a U.S. citizen.

If Padilla was guilty and found so by a jury, then I think that that is great.

Well heres my belief on Padilla and any other US citizen who is involved in a terrorist plot or attack on other US citizen or government personnel. Being a terrorist act you are now considered a enemy of the US (enemy combatant). You (the terrorist) have just renounced your citizenship. Therefore you are now a pow. You have no right to a trail..Here the fault in my belief before on of you points it out....where do you draw the line between mass murders and terrorist. I dont know my be a good question for debate on here.

There are liberal republicans ( Some are even running for president )
Padilla got what he deserves, he is guilty.
Now the question is, am I a liberal,Republican,Democrat
OR other?

in case you do no longer choose to speak approximately what he "will" do or something, then your question is self-defeating. The taxes against the wealthy have not even long gone into result yet. the only taxes that have been raised have been on cigarettes for this reason some distance. As a smoker, i'm slightly peeved...yet, that could be a bad habit so I ought to provide up.

Was the jury that rendered the verdict all conservative or all liberal or all of neither persuasion? Until that is disclosed, if it will be, you have to assume there were some liberals that voted for a guilty verdict thereby making your ASSumption invalid. Will you fools ever quit ASSuming that all liberals think alike.
