Hello, we are travelling to Boracay (9/15 - 9/18)and Bohol (9/19-9/22) in mid September. Our route is fly from Manila to Boracay, fly over to Cebu and take the ferry to Tagbilaran, then fly from Tagbilaran to Manila. Since we are making connections at Cebu, I thought of maybe staying overnight (9/18) and exploring the sites - might as well since we are already there. What must see places in Cebu can we visit in only one day? Do we seek a tour guide or do the touring ourselves? Also since it's low season and more budget friendly, we've thought about just purchasing airline tickets and scouting hotels/lodges/inn once we get to Boracay, Cebu and Bohol, then book tours at the hotels. Would you advise that versus purchasing an entire package? This is our first trip back after 11 years so I'm really excited about planning this and exploring our beautiful country! Any insights would be appreciated!

P.S. We aren't sticklers for fancy resorts, as long as there's A/C & safe, we're all good.

Ok so i got into a wreck on the 27th of july. It was her fault, she even admitted it and it says so on the police report. On the police report it had the insurance info so i called them filed a claim and had to wait a week just to find out they had canceled their insurance with that company. So i called the "guilty party" and asked them what they were planning on doing. They said that they had already switched insurance, so i got that info, called that company and made a claim. 2 days later they tell me that the "guilty party" purchased the insurance 11 days after the accident. What i want to know is how the heck do i get them to fix or replace my car?! My coverage is liability only so i don't think my company will help at all. I'm 34 weeks and 2 days pregnant and have no car. These jerks are just toying with me. I'm about to have a baby and i'm not gonna have a car. Can they get away with this? Am i screwed? (nothing rude please)

People often discuss the Christian axiom that God sent his son to die and take away our sins, and its related issues. A question that I don't often hear and have never received a satisfactory answer to is, how?

Ever since I was a small child it has never made any sense to me. In fact, I often doubted my mental faculties for not being able to deduce the methodolgy by which Christ, god or man, dying on a cross, suffering execution, would "take away our sins" or if you like, take away the punishment we would receive for committing sin. How exactly, is the act of Jesus dying on the cross meant to serve as a method for taking away our sins or the punishment for them? I can only assume some advanced metaphysics are at work, way beyond my comprehension.

This also begs the question, why did an omnipotent god require such an act? He could have sorted it out himself (and I'm not sure the Jesus thing was a complete success). What kind of god are we dealing with here? I mean, is he alright?

Universal Healthcare is on the agenda for this next election. However for several years republican and democrats have been trying to come up with a way to pay for healthcare.

At one point it was proposed that all health insurance costs could be written off on your income tax. Thus making it a tax deduction. Hillary Clinton, Obama, and a majority of democrats are against this method?

However they are all for tax deductions for buying a hybrid car. Isn't this a better alternative than trying to implement a system that is not the best method for healthcare?

I was talking to my friend about a particularly bad time I was going through with money. I couldn't afford a house payment so he offered to let me borrow $1600.00. I accepted. This was in December.

I was going through a divorce and he had a crush on me. I care about him too but then I wanted to work on my relationship with my ex so I got back with him. I kind of let the money slide and didn't pay him back at all.I didn't tell my husband about borrowing this.

After I told him in June that I was getting back with my ex, he was crushed and made the money a gift. I didn't accept but still did not pay him back.

In August, he said I was taking advantage of him. I got really offended and told him to never talk to me again. I felt like he was taking stabs at my character as a person. After saying that, I started sending him $50 and he sent me back the check ripped up. He said money isn't worth losing a friendship over. Am I being a jerk?

1- do you think it would be appropriate under ANY circumstances?

2- what would make it justifiable (not fair, but if a situation arose where it was necessary), what cause would, and what would you implement to make it not become a repeat of the japanese internment camps- which the government ended up paying reparations. however it seemed more like the way it was handled than the actual interning.
