If you think positive thoughts, your life will be more positive.
They go so far as to say, actually, that if you believe hard enough, you can actually achieve anything, and get anything you want, literally.
It's called "The Law Of Attraction". And "The Secret" is actually just a rebranding of previous works on the concept. It is, however, a very nice movie. It's very well done, entertaining, and inspiring, whether you think it's a bunch of bullhonkey or not.

The Secret is that you are being controlled.
You let others in church dictate for you.
You work hard labor for your basic necessities and give away your money to those who don't work for it.
If you want to believe in something that will change this, then buy the DVD.

looks like a way to get money out of people who are unhappy about themselves.
Since TV tells us that we should all be happy, successful people, living in million dollar homes in nice suburban neighborhoods there are an awful lot of people unhappy about themselves.
You only need to persuade a small minority to part with a few dollars to make yourself very rich.
And then you can be a successful person, living in a million dollar home in a nice suburban neighborhood, and be happy!

It's the crass marketing of false hope in which you are told that if you want it bad enough it will come to you. Tripe for the masses, full on dangerous for the gullible.
