I've got a £50 ticket... I will pay it, to save the court appearance!! But I think the circumstances should at least go in my favour of a reprieve...

My brothers diabetic girlf was having a hypo and I had to take her to her doctors... I parked outside as she turned all kinds of colours and shaking etc...as shes 9 months pregnant and was barely able to stand, I helped her into the surgery...

I was in there whilst she got help (max 10 mins) I came out and had been slapped with the ticket!!

I was in a parking space...For permit holders only..I didnt realise, but even if i had..I was kinda unimportant at the time!

When I telephoned the council...They just said I should have parked in the car park about ten mins walk way (if your not heavily pregnant and losing consciousness!!) and they would not be retracting it!!

Anyone got any ideas... CAB were pretty useless unfortunately... Im loathe to pay it under the circumstance...!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE
 
1940's, 50's, 60's and 70's !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a tin, and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, our baby cots were covered with bright coloured lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking.

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.

Riding in the back of a van - loose - was always great fun.

We drank water from the garden hosepipe and NOT from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We ate cakes, white bread and real butter and drank pop with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because......

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!

Alright, silly question, but I'm sure I've done it a day when I've forgotten to take it (been on Celexa for about 5 months now, 40 mg a day). However, I haven't slept tonight and I took my multivitamins, an ibuprofen for a headache, and as I swalled I mustve slipped two Celexa in because I was taking em' all at once. Now, not thinking until after I swallowed and realized I did so unknowingly, are there any dangers or anything to worry about? Ive never had side effects with this medicine, but again Im just wanting to make sure. I'm sure on a day when I've been unsure if I've taken one I've had 2 and still felt fine. Although, insight is helpful! thank you!

A Catholic priest and a rabbi were chatting one day when the conversation turned to a discussion of job descriptions and promotions.

"What do you have to look forward to in terms of being promoted?" asked the rabbi.

"And then?"

Growing angry, the priest responded, "Well, with lots and lots of luck and some real difficult work, if I'm in the right places at the right times and play my political games just right, maybe, just maybe, I can get elected Pope."

"Yes, and then what?"

"Good grief!" shouted the priest. "What do you expect me to become, GOD?"

"Well," responded the rabbi, "One of our boys made it!"

It was last sold in 2004 for 43k. Now it is priced at 12k. The realtor stated that the house is priced accordingly and that it's still "VERY" negotiable. How would he know that it's so negotiable?

Situation: There was this girl that we were so close. Then, a conflict happend that led us to 3 years of not giving contact with each other. Just this week, we were reconcilied by some sort of miracle, i dont know. We were beginning to send sms with each other more often and we were so open with each other.
Now, my problem is, this coming monday, will be holiday in our country, now i invited here if she didn't mind going out with me for a lunch..just lunch..(yet she haven't answered whether she will go or not)... I really like this girl and really dont have any idea on how to make her special or happy on that day... I don't want to think that's it's a sort of date since we were just have been reconciled.. now, i'd like to know some tips from you, guys, on what am i going to do on that day... what is the first thing to do, what will i say, etc.. is going to the movies wont make her feel awkward or uneasy considering our situation? id really like to know your advices and tips,guys..ty..

I recently sent my 1000w amplifier for servicing and got a t-loaned 400w amplifier with the original 1000w system's speakers to cover my inconvenience. Here my doubt, both sound rather similar in bass and quality, does that means the speakers' power output is the one that manufacturer said is the power output of the system? hmm rather funny..
