No, that's so dangerous. It may sound like fun, but have you ever paid any attention how mowers just spit stuff out all over the place. You should where real shoes and long pants. We don't even let our children outside while the mower in being used because I got hit by a flying stone once. Not to mention the fact that you could step on glass, metal, nail, or a bumble bee. Take care of those feet.

Yes, but it's not a powered mower, just one of those reel-mowers that only turn when you push. I like my feet; when I started to go barefoot full-time more than ten years ago I looked at it *very* closely, moved it around pushing it, pulling it, all ways, but since there's nothing but me walking slowly to power it & the way the handle is set, there's really no way to pull it over my feet while it's turning. I don't like using power tools at all, I guess I'm too much of a natural hippie-type or something but power mowers, chain saws, band saws, anything like that I just stay away from as far as I can, did long before I started to go barefoot (I only started barefooting when I was almost 29).

No way. When I was a kid, my grandfather was mowing his lawn with leather shoes on and got dizzy. He fell backwards and the lawnmower chopped off two of his toes. He had diabetes so he had serious trouble healing. Now, I'd be the first one to shed my shoes under most circumstances but never while mowing. No thanks. Be careful! =-)

no, I knew a girl who got her foot chopped by a lawn mower, she can still walk but its disfigured. so that scared me. I bet your feet would be itchy with all the grass sticking on them though. :)
