I am about to start my college life at a university about 7 hours away from my home and in the fall of 2007 i will be a freshman.

This past weekend i just went to a 3-day orientation and the school wasnt exactly what i imagined and i missed my family so much that i wanted to cry. I am a very shy person and its difficult for me to make friends and talk to people and i have never met before because sadly, i dont talk too much. i regret going to this university now, i picked it over another university that is 1 hour away from my home.

so now, i want to transfer to that university after my freshman year is over, but i have no idea if that would work. i heard it is very hard and i just need some help! i am currently a psy & social behavior major and i want to be a school teacher.

ok so down to the question - how can i transfer after freshman year from UC to UC? should i apply as a transfer student in nov?

I'm asking this question for a friend. She insists that in high school she read across this strange word that describes a person dying on their birthday -- either down the road, or on the very day they're born. I'm not sure what part of speech (noun, adjective, etc.) the word is, but she's adamant that it exists and she's been wanting to rediscover this strange word. Are there any English-language savvy people out there that know this one?

I went to the movies yesterday and i lost my wallet! i had my Drivers permit and my social security card was in there. see i put it in there because i just came from out of town and i used that as my just incase id. and yesterday i went to the movies and i lost my wallet. I called the theater to see if they might have seen it but they cannot find it. Im sooo scared cuz i left me ss card in my wallet please help me what should i do. i canceld all my credit cards, i know i have to fill out this fraud investigation request for my drivers permit. but for my social card i dont know what to do. what should i do?. please give me advise. im young and i really am scared of id theft. thanks

It seems as if I've exhausted my research efforts online and I'm looking for suggestions of good places in which to continue my searches. I'm mainly interested in warfare (tactics, armor, weapons, etc.) and Irish ways of life and traditions, all during the early 1300's.

I am so unhappy. I am mexican and I married an american. Sometimes I think I made a so bad decistion to marry this guy. He drinks every single day, (he will drink 6-8 natural light can beers on weekdays) and 30 on weekends. He is very used to drink much, he doesnt fall like being drunk, but I see his behaviour changes. And that is the root of our problems, and I will get so angry at him that I want to hit him. Now I have been in mexico because my legal status, and I just found he has registered in a adult website to find somebody to "hockup". That makes me very angry. He blames me for our troubles of his drinking. What should I do?.. I am so hurted for everything. I just think if I had married other boy my life would be better. I am 27 years old and no childre. But I always believed I could build a happy marriage and family.

I went to see Evan Almighty yesterday. I thought it was extremely funny, and it had a very good moral, and in my opinion, portrayed God as a God I would like to believe in if I didn't already... He had a sense of humor, a purpose, and wanted only to take care of His children. But many other Christians I've talked to tell me it's "sacreligious" and we should boycott it. I just looked at it as a funny movie that actually portrayed God in a good light... what's so wrong about that? What do you think, sacreligious? If you're a non-Christian, what did you think about the movie?
