I need a change, and since my lease is up in November...I am looking to relocate. Any one have any ideas for me? Where's a good city to just get away from it all and start a new?

It depends what you want! Is weather a huge factor? I assume you're single... Do you need to work in a specific industry? Look at http://www.forbes.com/2005/07/25/singles-best-cities_cx_05sing_0725land.html. There are tons of lists from Forbes. If you like a lot of variety, you can try Los Angeles.. If that's too expensive, do not try San Francisco or New York! Maybe you like beaches? mountains? diversity? cows? depends what you want! Good luck! :)

I love Chicago. It's more cost effective than the other large cities, you have water, beaches, good restaurants, nice neighborhoods and the change of seasons. I've thought about moving out of here in the past but am glad I didn't.

Oh golly, depends on what you like and don't like. If you like water move to a coastal city. Want to be a cowboy or girl move out west. Then too it depends on your talents or type of work you do. Might be good to see where the new place is paying for the work you do.

Minneapolis has an abundance of jobs, a very high standard of living, relatively inexpensive housing, and a very active social/arts/singles scene. And, if you like the outdoors, there's something for everyone.

Where are you now?

What do you do for $ or doesn't that matter?

I'd say NYC - if you can make there, you can make it anywhere.
