Okay, so here it is...my husband is in the military. When he is out of uniform (or in for that matter), and someone asks what he does for a living, he will tell them. Why do people at that point think it is okay to give their opinion (usually people with a neg. opinion) about the military, or the war? When you find out someone is a lawyer (or some other disliked professioin), you don't automatically make rude comments to them. Why do people think it is okay to do that to our servicemen? Nobody asked what their opinion was! I TRULY don't understand peoples' need to voice their unwanted, unasked opinions to our soldiers. It's like they aren't capable of showing respect to that person, simply because they don't agree with the war, or do not understand the military itself. I am sure that there isn't any good answer to this, but I pose the question anyways... Why? I can think of no other profession that deserves the respect that this one does, even if you don't agree w/ the war.
