Just start talking to people - Don;t get discouraged if they don;t talk much back - perhaps they have nothing intersting to say! . But here's a tip - people LOVE to talk about themselves, so if you keep asking them qurestions, they'll keep answering,. Just try not to get too personal

Think a little bit here. A shy person doesn't say much. They like to listen. You are probably a very good listener. That is an asset. Use that to your advantage. The only thing is, appear confident and not fearful. When asked to comment on something do it with confidence and conviction. You are who you are so be proud of it and be happy. If you want to change that is possible too. Change requires studying talkative people that you like and using some of their strategies.

Increase your caffeine intake. And no I'm not joking. Just think about it for a minute- If you're hiper and jittery, it's nearly impossible to act or even feel shy. Whenever I have something with caffeine in it (especially some super rich fudge dessert), I feel more open, alert, and just better overall. Cuz naturally I'm a very mellow person. I'm speaking from personal experience.

Don't worry. You won't be shy forever or rather you can't. It would be great when a girl can make you feel confident and happy to talk to her. You just need the right one.

You have to work at overcomming your feers of talking infront of people. Try going to a toastmasters club. Also try setting a goal for your self to talk to people more often. Talk to people a little bit for now then when you feel comfortable to do that make increase the amount of time.

Start behaving as if you are not shy!!! It's the fear of the unknown which is holding you back. Have you ever watched anyone who is popular? Eminate them. Behave your way out of your shyness shell. It will feel awkward at first. But as you gain acceptance, it will start to feel very natural. I was very shy in Junior High, but I forced myself to start behaving as if I weren't shy, so it can be done!!!
May God bless you.

I know it easier sad than done, but you have to be confident!
Find out what makes you shy and over come your fear, cause you might be missing out on alot.

Try smiling at every person you see. When they smile back, it will be easier to talk to them.

Oh and also take care of yourself and do good things. I have always believed that when you do good and look good... you will feel good.
