What is the point of dental dam? Wouldn't saran wrap (cling film) do the same thing?

No, otherwise saran wrap would also make an acceptable condom substitute...but it doesn't. The pores in the material are large enough to allow things through that you are trying to avoid.

"Saran Wrap has often been recommended versus a dental dam for use in cunnilingus for its flexibility. However, it is recommended never to use Saran Classic or any other similar product which is designed for microwave use. It is said to be porous for possible transference of an STD"

No saran wrap would not do the same thing because it is a different material and subject to tearing.

The point of a dental dam? To protect you from contracting an STD when you engage in oral sex.

Why protect yourself? Because no matter how good the sex is, it is not worth dying for!

Yes it does the same thing, but if you didn't trust where you where putting your mouth in the 1st place why would you even bother. I know it is not as good for me giving, so it could be as good with her receiving with a barrier of any sort, that goes for condoms too. But safe sex is important.

yes, you can use saran wrap, dental dam is just made of a different texture that gives a better feeling

haha they do seem pretty useless ...hang on luv let me just slap this on your fanny...obviously its an std preventer....still a bit ddgy if u ask me!
