When trying to be cool one usually sells themselves out and ends up doing things they do not really want to do, know is wrong but still does it anyways, and trying ti impress by throwing their dignity out the window. Basically saying one is not being their self and being what others want them to be. A monkey for the publics entertainment. Being respected means you have a mind of your own and do your own thing even though others may not agree or like it at all. Having a spine and a will to be yourself and because of that being respected. Besides the being cool thing goes away after you graduate anyways!

Being respected!

Someone who is respected for standing up for their beliefs is a lot cooler than being a follower!

Respected. I am not sure I care about if I am cool and follow what other people say! What I say for my family and what is good for my life is my say! And my responsibility to live up to and see that I do what is right and follow what I am expected to do by God!

If someone is widely respected, that automatically makes them cool, in my opinion.

What's the difference?

Fame or integrity: which is more important?
Money or happiness: which is more valuable?
Success of failure: which is more destructive?

If you look to others for fulfillment,
you will never truly be fulfilled.
If your happiness depends on money,
you will never be happy with yourself.

Be content with what you have;
rejoice in the way things are.
When you realize there is nothing lacking,
the whole world belongs to you.
