My Grandma gave me a $15 check for helping her around the house. She said all I have to do is sign it and cash it at her bank without being charged, but my mom said I would need a Florida I.D. since I don't have a bank account. The whole thing is really confusing. By the way, I'm only 15.

Yes, U need I.D. to cash a check...Try taken it back to your grandma and get cash or sign it over to your mom and she can cash it for you....And go get state I.D.for the future all you need is your social security card and birth certificate....

Some banks will , others won't .
Go to her bank with your student ID .
Only they know the answer to your question .
If they do not accept your student ID you can either
1) ask your mom to cash it for you or
2) go back and tell grandma the bank would not accept your student ID and give her the check back
(and hopefully she'll give you cash then).

Cash in on someone elses account, like your mom's maybe. You sign it and then they sign it underneath your signature.
