so im a jr. in college; majoring in poli. sci/history and a minor in polit. philosophy.... i know i should figure out what kind of law i want to study, but i haven't been able.....like i dont think i could be a crim. defense attorney (too much of a conscience knowing i could defend some1 who i rightfully know is guilty)........ like from any law ppl. out there, what is big right now/ in the future and what not

I've tried several new DVD-RW drives lately (Sony, Pioneer, Lite-on) and none worked. The drives ARE recognized and are listed in device manager and bios setup. When I insert a CD or DVD, it is recognized with the proper name and file list. If it is a DVD or audio CD, the tracklist comes up but either it wont play or i get an error (drive is malfunctioning or something). If it is a data CD, some files may open (like small images or text files) but usually, either the program hangs or i get an error message.

I've already tried several things:
- cleaned the lens
- tried different IDE cables
- tried the drive set as master and slave (even though it's the only thing connected to the secondary IDE channel)
- uninstalled NERO Burning ROM (i dont have any other CD or DVD programs)
- updated firmware

Because I've already tried several new drives, I'm absolutely sure that it's not the drives. Weird thing is that my old drives (a DVD drive and CD-RW drive) i got around 2002 still work fine.

i went on a trip to colorado, I live in pa. It did end up being a very stressful two weeks, i broke up with my fiance of two years, met my 11yr old sister for the first time and other relatives that i hadn't seen since i was six, i did have sex those two weeks and used condoms However i ended my period the day before i left for CO. I'm Late i should have had my period the beginning of this week but havent. so far i'm not sure if maybe it was bc of the stress. or its possible to be pregnant. before i get even more stressed i wanted some feedback.

For starters, I live with my parents I only have a savings account and I don't pay bills or any insurances.

do you have to buy pistons for a certain motor?
say i have my nissan motor, and it has a 90mm bore, Piston Pin Height 34mm, Piston Dish 2.8cc but the pistons for it cost $600 forged
and then i have found the same thing, only it doesnt specify my nissan's motor for alot less.

I asked a question about the Bible last night, and true it was a little long-winded, and had a bit of a rant in it, and someone had it removed! I find this completely irritating and insulting. Why would someone who has absolute faith it their scriptures mind it being questioned by someone who does not believe in or agree with what is written? That, to me, would prove that you don't have faith and don't feel that you can support what you believe in.

Just to make it clear, I did not insult anyone or anything, there was no foul language, and I did ask a question. More than one question as a matter of fact.

My best best friend has set her mind that she has AIDS. This is ridiculous. She thinks that because she hasn't had her period in almost a year that she's got AIDS and is dying. I told her that she doesn't, and she isn't. My reasons: First. She's only had sex with 4 different people in the last 5 years, and only her significant other didn't use protection. Second. She put on almost 70 pounds within the last year (medical complications...they put her on steroids for pneumonia and bronchitis). Third. Her fiance has to be tested every month for everything, and if he doesn't come up positive, she isn't either. There are a few others, but i think these are enough. Do you agree with me or do you think she still has some reason to think opposite?

Hey guys,

I've been worrying for a while now about whether or not I have been experiencing symptoms of diabetes. Here's the deal:

- My grandma has type 2 diabetes, so that of course sent up a red flag.
- I pee a lot. I'll have something to drink and even if I didn't have that much I'll usually have to pee like mad in an hour or so.
- I tend to think of myself as in-shape as I am fairly thin, but after only a few minutes of running in gym class I'm tired and out of breath.
- My vision is pretty bad. I've needed glasses since 3rd grade.
- I probably take in my fair share of sugar. Not in the way of candy or sweets, but I usually drink 1-2 cans of soda per day.

I'm 18 years old, male, 5'6", and 120 lbs. What do you guys think? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
