Honestly, I think he is in a small, tribal elder controlled village in the Pakistani side of the rugged mountains between the Afghanistan/Pakistan border. When Barrack Obama touched off a firestorm saying he would invade Pakistani territory to get Al Qaeda, others accused him of being woefully politically inexperienced but truthfully, that may be the U.S. mandate that will become necessary.

It's like a game of roulette, if there isn't another major terrorist attack on U.S. soil in the foreseeable future, there will unlikely be an initiative to take such a bold step. However, if there is something like or greater than a 9/11 attack on the U.S. in the future, there is very little likely hood, that mainstream America will hold out any reservations on getting Al Qaeda, where ever they may hide, be it in a country considered friend or foe.

If he is not dead, wounded or ill (since he seemed "absent" from the latest video message), I would say he is in Pakistan. A few of my reasonings are...

-Al-Qaeda from Iraq is apparently being operated out of Egypt and Pakistan

-There is a regional autonomous movement (pro-Taleban) along the Pakistan/Afghanistan

-Pakistan has, in brief, has an atmosphere that would be beneficial to Al-Qaeda

On an additional note I don't believe that capturing Osama Bin Laden is that significant in stopping Al-Qaeda. All evidence suggests that since 9/11 Al-Qeada has become increasingly decentralized and has begun spawning "Usama Bin Laden Wannabes"

Most likely sources point to some small village in Pakistan. Although some(not fully reliable or confirmed) sources have said he has had plastic surgery done. Also considering that because of his past connections to major Islamic figures it is possible that sometimes he has left to meet with some of them under the radar because of the political fallout if such things should become public. So in some cases it would be likely her has traveled in and out on some occasions meeting political leaders. You have to take into account how he is financed , possible infighting between the many different Islamic factions. and all major political figures have some character flaw that needs to be fulfilled. I hope this helps.GL.

He's in Iran and other fugitive harboring countries. There are very close knit communities and connections of tunnels throughout the area, we could never cover them all even if we had acess to the other countries. He and others like him are still a threat, waiting for the U.S to back down.

An entire floor of posh hotel for him and cohorts. He needs
the technology to maintain communication, room service if
needed, and a location that won't attract military attention.
Nob Hill in San Francisco, for example. Paris, France?

He very well might be dead. The latest images of him are a few years old. Al Qaeda would not want the world to know it if he were dead, it would be discouraging for the cause of Jihad and appear to be a victory for Bush.
