Ok lately I have been finding wierd text on my bfs phone that he is sending to people...every time I ask him about them he gets really upset that Im accusing of cheating and says he would never do that! It seems like he really means it but it still is just making me sick that he is talking like this to someone else! How should I go about telling him that I dont appreciate it with him thinking I am accusing him...I love him with all my heart and would be completely heart broken if we broke up! This morning on the way to work, I passed by a black couple in a car. Both seats were reclined back as far as they could go. The driver could barely see over the steering wheel from his reclined position. However, was operating the car in this fashion. It did not look very safe.

This seems to be common in the black community. So, why do so many black people recline in their cars like this?

Secondly, I do not understand the whole wearing big baggy pants that are falling off of your backside.

The perception among racist whites is that black people do not work very hard, and that most are on welfare.

Don't these things perpetuate this stereotype? To recline in the car in such an unsafe manner, looks lazy, like they can't sit up straight. And to wear baggy pants, again, looks like one is too lazy to pull the pants up?

Your thoughts?

I do not consider myself to be racist...but, by thinking these things, am I?

The fall of a bridge in Minnesota. The destruction of the levees in New Orleans. The northeast blackout. NYC steam pipes. 27% of the nation's bridges judged structurally unsound. Cracks appearing in 1930s hydroelectric dams.

And nobody talking about it. Tony Snow says that these are 'isloated incidents,' but are these just the ripple that precedes the tidal wave?

Fixing bridges and dams isn't as interesting as national health care and the war in Iraq, but shouldn't it be a top priority of the next administration, and a top issue in the 2008 elections?

She just is irrating, because she cries all the time. i think she needs to calm down and realize that this is a game, and not everyone is going to be fair. i think she needs some medicine to help balance out her hormones.

My torque wrench does not read in "in-lbs". What for example is 150 in-lbs in foot pounds? My stablizer bar link nut torque spec is said to be 150 in-lbs. Why is it necessary to quote torque specs in both inch and foot lbs? How do I convert one to the other. Thanks much in advance. Jim Confused

Because we're spending all that money that WAS earmarked for infrastructure repairs in Iraq.............oh, wait..... The bridge was labelled 'structurally unstable' in 1990--and yet no money was earmarked for replacing it for the past 17 years. Okay then, I know it's been a hot summer in Minneapolis. It probably collapsed due to global warming which MELTED the bridge. Wait. Steel can't melt right (ala Twin towers collapse). Which brings us back to back to the only 'lib-logical' conclusion. It was a controlled demolition--planned and executed by Bush himself! How am I doing?
