Why do you think we are winning? Every piece of information we get is discouraging. Ok, so this month less soldiers got killed. But then the Iraq Parliament goes on vacation and a major Sunni bloc elects to discontinue participation in the govement. So what exactly are we winning? What would the surge do for us if politically the country is still in turmoil? Even the military has said this: "A military victory in Iraq is not possible." Get your head out of the sand and start asking some real questions.

well, i guess its because there have been no goals set to attain, no reason for being there this long, and while we spend $12 billion++ a week and ruin many lives there are bridges collapsing here in the states, in just one example of the crumbling infrastructure of this country.
