What diet do you feed your bird(s)?

Tell me some unusual things your bird enjoys and what type you have, also.

My African Grey has Organic low fat Triple Berry Granola for breakfast everyday. She has her pellets to munch on throughout the day but gets fruit at mid morning and veggies in the afternoon. For dinner she likes something hot so sometimes I give her scrambled eggs or organic babyfood (fit for toddlers) she loves their spaghetti o's. She also loves anything hot and spicy.

Well my birds eat a pellet and seed mix for the main part of their diet. My conure loves bananas, citrus, apples, cucumbers, radishes, strawberries, blue berries, grapes, and she may even eat broccoli sometimes. She even likes pasta cooked of course although she likes it raw to just chomp into tiny pieces lol. The amazon and lovebird eat similar diets although they like different fruits and veggies.

What type of bird? It makes a huge difference.

Small birds--keets. sprout some sweet grass or herbs.
In a dixie cup add potting soil---add a large amount of grass and herb seeds. Anise seed is especially good.
Spout it on the window sill and then place into cage. They will love it. Keep it moist to keep it growing.

My parrots--they eat anything and everything. Pasta, cooked and raw, apple cores, shredded cooked chicken, any fruit (except avocodos--poison),
raw or steamed veggies, hot peppers are a fave. The middle of a bell pepper with the seeds, tomatoes...............
dried banana chips, carrots, celery,
juices---my parrot LOVES to drink out of my glass---orange, grape, anything unsweetened.

and their all time favorites-----pizza crust and corn on the cob (cooked or raw)

They'll eat anything you do.
Exceptions--no chocolate, sugar, salt, fat.

I own a cockateil and he love dark green lettuce, popcorn and pizza crust. We limit his intake of the popcorn and pizza crust tho.
