I am going into my Sophomore year of high school and am scared of taking Chemistry. Is it really hard?? I am not taking honors or AP or anything but I realize most people take it there Junior not Sophomore year and it is making me nerovus.

(x-5/6)²-25/36=8/3
(x-5/6)²=8/3+25/36
...................
96/36+25/36=121/36
right?
If it is possible for me...Then I would do it in a formula, but I have to do the other way cause of my teach.

(x-5/6)²=121/36
x-5/6=+/- 11/6
x=-6/6,16/6
x=-1,6

help, why do I suck at math?
And why must we *2 and square it anyways?
How is this suppose to help us in the real world, everything in quad. equations would always =o, then why would we solve it when we already know the equation ='s "0"?

Neither one of them has tested positive for steroid use, but any rational person would know that you could not achieve what they achived on training alone. I just don't understand why public opinion is so hard on Bonds and so soft on Armstrong. Is it because a lot of people in America like to stick it to the french? Is it race? Personally I think they are both jerks that really are hurting their respective sports. Like at the Tour 'd France now, it is a joke with a bunch of dope taking losers. The others competitors just had not figure out how to go undetected like Bonds and Armstrong did.

I clean and maintain aquariums for a living. Today I visited a new customer for the first time. They have a 37 gallon tank, this is really deep, 30x12x25. It looks like two 20 longs stacked on top of each other. Poor oxygen exchange is just the beginning of this tanks problems.
It has two filters, one is an under gravel filter. It also has a Tetra Whisper 1 power filter (similar to the current PF-30).
There's a large school of 11 black neon tetras and 12 black skirt tetras. Additionally, there is a small school of three julli cory cats. There were five originally, but two died. One black neon also died recently.
This is what prompted the call, three deaths in a week. The tank is in an advertising agency and they want it to look good...
They like the black and white theme...
The tank has a moderate amount of brown algae on the walls, artificial plants and not much on the gravel.
A slight white haze indicated a bacterial bloom.

Ok, so my mom drinks. Let me give you some background info. She always use to drink since I can remeber. Her dad was also a drinker. Her and my mom always use to get into fight. And she is more of the angry drunk, not the happy kind. I'd say alm ost exactly 4 years ago, she got really nasty. The fights were big! She got so bad that she almost stabbed my dad. That is when he went to the police. So, she got to sleep in jail for a day, and I am really confused about the rest. Soon after, my parents got a divorce. She went to this rehab like thing. She wasn't drinking after that. But during this year, I noticed suspicious stuff. Since she use to drink, I know what wine smells like. I would sniff her glass and I thought it smelled like wine. I discovered the actual wine bottle in late May. We have been having fights too and with my sister. One time, there was a fight where my sis took a knife and said she would do it. She didn't. I see deputy sheriffs contracting with cities using police on the side of their cars and on their patches when they are deputies. I see federal agents wearing police raid gear. I see state dmv investigators wearing police jackets. I know mainly people hear police and they think of municipal police forces. However, there are community college police, university police, campus police, school police, Los Angeles County Police, Veterans Police, Mint Police, Bureau of Land Management Rangers who wear police on their shirts. So I guess police is the overall name for all of these law enforcement officers. Heck, the other day on the news there was a district attorney investigator with a police shirt on. Can this be done.
