Neither one of them has tested positive for steroid use, but any rational person would know that you could not achieve what they achived on training alone. I just don't understand why public opinion is so hard on Bonds and so soft on Armstrong. Is it because a lot of people in America like to stick it to the french? Is it race? Personally I think they are both jerks that really are hurting their respective sports. Like at the Tour 'd France now, it is a joke with a bunch of dope taking losers. The others competitors just had not figure out how to go undetected like Bonds and Armstrong did.

Soccer Dude, yeah, I am really jealous. I am pretty sure you also believe OJ is innocent. There is more than plenty of evidence against Bonds and Armstrong. But then again, not matter how bad someone can be, there will always be those who will defend them, even Hitler has his fans.

Mormontaberna, you are completely wrong when you accuse me of playing the race card. I was simply formulating a question about the different treatment for both athletes.

I have never been a fan of Lance Armstrong, so this question doesn't really apply to me. Frankly, i am glad there is the focus on bicycling's dope use and some day we may find out that other sports(NFL?) had as many problems as baseball did. Unfortunately, i think race is part of the equation, although i don't imagine that there would be a lot of rejoicing for Mark McGwire among knowledgeable white fans if McGwire was in Bonds' shoes right now. Let's praise Hank Aaron's accomplishments; as with Ted Williams, and Buck O'Neal, he has been long overlooked. Lets not overlook Aaron any longer.

Lance Armstrong

it's a combination of things but mostly because of the difference in sport/culture and personality. The general public doesn't like Bonds. Baseball is a much bigger sport in America then cycling so more people care. Arsmstrong, was acused by a french newspaper that hated him since before he won a single stage. The Tour de France tests for performance enhancing drugs after every stage. Armstong passed every test. The same newspaper is the one that falsely accused Floyd Landis of doping. They later admitted that they had "accidently" gotten the lab results mixed up. All in all it's mostly because of personality. And to all the people that think it's because people don't want to see a historical record like that broken, the majority of people supported Ichiro when he broke the single season hits record.

There is NO evidence whatsoever that Lance used. He was tested and passed every test. Others have won the Tour multiple times - the last one was five in a row, and that was before all the drugs. It's not impossible.

Bonds hasn't failed a test, but there has been some pretty strong evidence against him.

Barry Bonds by a zillion miles!

Look at pictures of Barry when he started with the Pirates in 1986 and Today with the Giants!

He is bigger ALL OVER! Even his HEAD! You tell me what excersize you can do to make your head bigger?????????

MLB is dragging thier feet cause of people like you who are ready to play the race card should they drop the hammer (pun intended) on Barry before he passes the Aaron record!

If Barry is so clean why is Hank Aaron so adamant in his not wanting to be there to pass the torch to Barry as the record is overtaken!

Where is Barry's Godfather the man he looks up to more than anyone living on the face of the earth Willie Mays. You have not seen him once during this chase to 756!

Barry is a lowlife just like Rose or Canseco or McGwire. The color of his skin has zero to do with it! And it is an insult to Jackie Robinson and Henry Aaron and every other Black athlete, as well as every Black person in general, who has had racial slurs hurled at them just cause of thier color.

Both are getting a raw deal. The most despicable person in sports lore is Pete Rose;a liar and a cheat, gambler. Nobody wants to talk about him and everyone wants him in the Hall of Fame - what a joke. I guess innocent to proven guilty only applies to those we like. Leave them alone. Barry has earned his spot in the Hall and Lance won fair and square because nobody else acheived it does not make it unattainable.

It has not been proven that Barry Bonds took steroids. He's just a target because he is Black like Michael Vick. A couple of white baseball players have tested positive for steroids, but you don't see their names splashed all over the media.

Since when did a person become guilty after proving innocent?

My vote is with Lance Armstrong - and this is because everyone worships him like all the overwhelming evidence doesn't exist - it is so aggravating. He is a false symbol of persistence and courage for a cancer survivor. Its kind of sad how Landis got caught when he was doing exactly what Armstrong did.

they both are innocent until proven guilty. so i dont hate any of them. what they are doing IS possible. look at A Rod he almost has 500 hr's and hes barely half way done with his career! so why dont u stop complaining about false things, cause ur just jealous. its not a matter of race or sport, their both great athletes.
