stress might cause you to grind your teeth. ask your dentist about getting a mouth guard. its like this plastic-ish thing where you melt in the microwave so it soft then you put in on like a mouth guard and it hardens and protects your teeth!

You would need something which would distract from the grinding. A simple solution is chewing gum. While you are chewing the gum, then you would not grind the teeth. If you want anything more specific, then there are teeth guards available at Walmart and Target. You can put these guards, which cost around 20 dollars, between your back teeth, and they are not visible to another person. The guards are removable, and you can remove them anytime, e.g. while having food.

Tooth grinding is subconscious generally, and occurs usually at night. To stop it you need a sleep aprtner, who will wake you up, and try to negatively reinforce the behaviour

To protect your teeth from excessive wear you should wear a night guard.

Tension. Something in your life or where you work or at school is causing tension. You are probably grinding your teeth without knowing about it. Talk to your dentist about it
and he can assist you (since you might end up cracking
a tooth in the long run and I've seen it occur).

told by a dentist that your brain thinks aligning yur teeth is a puzzle. subconscience is playing here. are you doing it in your sleep? a guard would be wise if so. if not, stress and frustration could be the factors.

It's called bruxism and is a habit, usually triggered by stress. It can lead to problems with your teeth and jaw joint (TMJ). Discuss it with your dentist.
