Think about this. Established religions, such as Christianity, hold that older Pagan religions are nothing more than mythology, yet to the believers in those Pagan religions, the validity of their faith is unquestionable---just as it is to the Christians. Considering this, what right does any religion have to deny another religion's validity? After all, there are some fantastic stories in the Bible not much different from stories to be found in other beliefs, but it appears that dominant Christian propaganda works to discredit those beliefs.

As an Atheist, the contention is all academic to me, but as an egalitarian, I must accept that one religious belief is no less valid than another---it is a person's choice of faith, and faith is the catalyst & important element, not how it is packaged.

I'm primarily directing my question to Christians & am not seeking a defense of faith; rather, I'm asking what makes one believe their own religion has the right to deny another's validity?

I'm writing a novel, and I was wondering how the main character would get away with a crime she commits halfway through the story.

She doesn't hurt or kill anyone. Instead, she blows up a very expensive, pimped-out luxury car (belonging to another character) in the middle of the night, then completely demolishes any remains.

Also, if she does get caught (still debating whether or not she should) what penalties/prison time/fines she could face.

its a medium side with a biiiiiig window, im painting it next week (white) because im turning 16 soon, and new school year, i really f*cked around the last few years at school, so im going to clear everything out and paint it white. i have a creamy/ beige carpet, and white curtains with little desgins, and a single bed. the ceiling is quite high, so without anything on the walls, it looks quite empty, how can i make it last me a few more years, a look nicer, and more sort of grown up? thank youu!

What is your opion on this a friend forward it to me thought there was alot of debate to this.
Subject: DON'T BUY PEPSI IN THE NEW CAN!
Don't buy Pepsi in the new can. Pepsi has a new "patriotic" can
coming out with pictures of the Empire State Building, and the
Pledge of Allegiance on them.
However, Pepsi left out two little words on the pledge--
"Under God."
Pepsi said they didn't want to offend anyone
In that case, we don't
want to offend anyone at the Pepsi corporate office, either!
So if we don't buy any Pepsi product, they will not be offended
when t hey don't receive our money that has the words
"In God We Trust" on it.

Father had a week long visitation with his daughter. Father called 4 days prior to the visit and said he didn't have utilities at his home, therefore could not pick the child up on the first day of his week long visitation, however he would have his utilities on somewhere doing that week. Father called and left a message on the mother's answering service stating that he could now pick up the child. Since he's on welfare, his utilities were cut back on today, August 1. Mother explained to the child that she would be going to visit with her dad, the child broke down in tears.

The father has not exercised his court appointed visitation with the child in 2 (two) years consistently. He has her every other weekend and one day (3 hours) during the week. Father always cancels with excuses of: no gas, money or simply just cancels. The mother has the child to call when the father does cancel.

The inquiry is - what right does the father have in regards to the week long visit at this point?

And just quit on them? I hate my job and never want to go back. I dont have a new one yet, but when I do it is so tempting to just not go back. I have always been advised to write a resignation letter saying how great the experience was and blah, blah. Then work commit to work out a notice.

I have a wooden window in my shower, and as you might have guessed, it is beginning to rot. This is a rental house that I have just moved into, and I'm wondering what I can do about it. I have spray frosted the actual glass to prevent peeping toms (lol), and it's beginning to wear away as well. The molding around the window is actually plastic, so it's waterproof. The only problem is the actual window. Is there something like blurry glass or something that I can buy and insert in front of the window and caulk around? Or if you have another idea, please share it. I don't want to stain it or try to repair the window as it is already beyond repair. Thanks!

I see it all the time in Major League Baseball. A position player bats and get out. Instead of going all the way back to the dugout, he'll take off his hat and batting gloves and give it to the batboy or fellow teammate, assume his position on the field while the teammate or batboy returns with his cap and glove. It's a big timesaver for that player, but is that a common practice in high school/college baseball?

i have been abroad for the last five years while my wife was staying back home. recently i came down to my native and while at home i found that my closest friend whom wasupposed to support my wife and home here was having an affair with my wife for quite a long period since i had left. my wife confessed to the affair.i agreed that the mistake was more of mine and as the situation demanded i could come back only after three more years. before leaving there was a meeting with my friend and wife and me where both agreed to what had happened. i accepted and my friend continued coming home and i didnt object and the relationship continued for a few more months till i took my wife along with me. back abroad, my boss met and my wife at a meeting and started visiting home. he told me that he had a crush for her and conveyed it to my wife too. then i started staying away during his further visits and things were going on easy for us in life. but still at times i feel guilty? should i forget or
