Yes. what is your question? Why Jesus did that? Did you notice how even though Peter said three times he would not deny Jesus, he did anyway? Just like small children, you tell them over and over not to do something, they acknowledge and say they understand, and do it anyway. It is human flaw.

As this was from the words of the Risen Christ, it's been said it was meant to reinstate Peter as the head of the Apostles after Peter denied him three times before the Crucifixion. Peter denied Jesus then to save his own skin and after the Resurrection, Jesus asks him these three times- and also tells him how he would later suffer for the sake of Jesus. It is the opposite of the earlier denials.

One reason is because Peter denied him as many times. Another is that three times is a special number. When Peter received a vision to change the dietary laws, he received it three times. The third repetition is needed to confirm that it is a revelation, and not a random dream. In this case, Jesus is showing Peter, by example, how to receive a divine communication.

Also after each response from Peter, notice that Jesus changed the question slightly to broaden Peter's responsibility. But the over-riding message I get from this passage is applicable to every Christian which is, If we say we love Christ then His priorities must become our priorities. For most Christians including myself I find it a challenge to do that and juggle life's other responsibilities.

Because Jesus wanted Peter to be convinced of it. Jesus didn't even need to ask; he knew, but Peter's belief in his love for Jesus was shaken when he denied him 3 times. So, for each time that Peter denied Jesus, Jesus was asking him to confirm his love for him; to recognize that Peter made a mistake out of fear, but that, in the end, he really does love Jesus and Jesus wanted Peter to know this.

most obviously Jesus might have been asking him three times in the same way that Peter had denied Jesus three times...Jesus follows up by charging this man who had betrayed him with the task of "feeding" his flock the gospel truth...a slight reminder of his sin and then a firm, "now get over it and get busy".

Jesus knew Simon Peter would betray him 3 times as well, he was trying to "teach," him by this example.

Jesus reminded, him..."Feed my sheep." Every time.

This was the duty of the apostles, to teach people about Jesus and not to deny him or to hide, but to be vocal about Jesus Christ.

Yes. He did that to counter the three times that Peter denied Him the night of His arrest.

To make sure that Peter remembered the conversation. He asked him three times because it is symbolic to the amount of times Peter would deny him before the cock crowed three times.

Each time Jesus asked this question, and Peter said "yes", he followed up with a different instruction. It has a sort of poetry to it that I think makes it easier to remember.
