Is this more or less of a compliment, in your opinion?

I know it is still a compliment, I know you can find someone aesthetically pleasing without finding them sexually attractive(I do very often). I am specifically wondering if you think it is
MORE
LESS
or JUST AS MUCH
of a compliment(in general).

Interesting question. I know that in my life I've only commented on maybe 5 girls total, and that's without interest for them sexually.

I believe it would be a high form of a comment coming from someone exclusively gay because it's rare they judge girls on that level, besides maybe close friends.

If I call someone hot, I mean it totally as a compliment. I can find a man hot and still not want to have sex with him. Actually, I can also find a woman hot and not want to have sex with her. I'm quite capable of appreciating beauty in all its forms; my life is very good that way!

Being called hot is always a compliment. And in the case of some people, it can be an actual expression of desire. In the case of Gays, it's usually an Aethetic judgement. In the case of heteros it's an assessment of desirability. More or less flattering is a judgement call on the part of the recipient.

When it comes to Angelina Jolie, Carrie Underwood or Catherine Zeta Jones? I don't think anybody's THAT gay.

Absolutely.

When I see a guy that is good looking, I'll comment about him being hot. I'm a lesbian but I can definitely appreciate other people of any gender who are pleasing to look at it.

I'd never take "hot" in any way other than a compliment.

I hope this helps!

I'm nominally straight and I sometimes tell people of my own sex that they look hot. It is intended as a compliment.

I have never heard hot used in a derogatory fashion, so yes it would be a compliment.

if a gay guy says a girl is Hot, it can mean two things. either a) the beyatch is fierce and has it going on head to toe, or b) they are sayin it to their chubby hags to make em feel better. U have to be the judge.
