I think it's true that woman do like attention but men like attention too. We both fall short in this area but as long as it doesn't go any further than flirting it's something that should be talked about in a way to let the other person know their feeling are getting hurt.

attraction, hormones... interest.
everyone is different about WHO attracts them. just because i might find you good looking, charming and attractive, doesn't mean the next girl will.
the girl in your art class probably finds you attractive, "nice" if you say so, and wants to get to know you better.

I like guys that are good looking and they have to act mature otherwise I wouldn't be interested at all and that have to not be afraid to tell you they like you and of course they have to be nice.
